I am guessing this place used to be mother maybel's and is now clementine's? today was my first time there and likely the last. i am eternally hopeful for portland to get a decent southern food restaurant, but again, disappointed. there is a kid friendly rom with a nice train table, too bad it turned into a sports bar after the OSU game on. i don't think the hard drinking, loud yelling adults appreciated the toddlers or vice versa. the food was atrocious, fried chicken may include 3 pieces but you may want to add that it is 2 legs and a wing with no breast in site. heck cut it down to two pieces a wing and a breast, that is more like a southern meal anyway. frozen veggie medley, soggy fries due to them running out of mashed potatoes. this was during peak saturday brunch hour in pdx, come on guys. the server was clearly pulled away from her regular job as a hat knitting grandma and whereas she tried to do a good job, she was almost as helpful as brain surgeon in a boxing ring. i refilled our 4 top plus toddler with water from a pitcher that was left on another table and we had to go to the bar to make our own drink orders. ugh, if you think southern comfort food is charming, please please please do your research and commit to it and hire the quantity and quality of help needed to serve it!
