Morongo Little Creators Preschool

Now, it seems to me, that more often than not the Morongo Preschool "Little Creators" employees ( from the assistant director to the teachers ) usually have some kind of commotion going on. I've been an active participant in the school's activities since Sept. 2006 (I am a parent ) and I just cannot believe the actual drama and such inapproriate behavior of these people who are supposed to be professionals. I've more than once witnessed behavior amongst the assistant director and several of the male parents that I did not think was acceptable at a preschool facility. These are 3 and 4 year olds , not 16 year olds. The place is not a site for adults to flirt openly and speak to each other the way they do when they think no one is noticing. I mean if people like the assistant director need an ego boost that bad why doesn't she go elsewhere to do her thing- where adults go , not in the offices, and classrooms in the presence of our children. more

My opinion of the "new" Morongo Little Creators Preschool is not a very good one- several years ago however, when it was still Morongo Indian Head Start I really enjoyed my experience there as a parent for two years.I thought the teachers and the rest of the staff were very nice people and I appreciated the fact that every one took the time to know you on a first name basis- the attention the teachers paid to the children was outstanding--now with my nephew attending this facility last year and this year I am a regular there again and I do have a problem.... To begin with there is not enough professionalism in the offices!! Is everyday gossip and fun day? No one even attempts to stop the gabbing and fun (not to mention the obvious, 'too friendly' behavior amongst coworkers on the site-- now how appropriate is that really, when the improper behavior between directors and their staff is occuring during school hours and remember we're talking about preschool--3 and 4 year olds-what else are they being exposed too? Now remember I can compare the past two years as Morongo Little Creators to Morongo Indian Head Start --and I realized every one is still the same, the staff that ran the school with so much professionalism and yet very personal as well is still the same. So now let's look at the newest members of the staff -- the director Miss Pat and the assistant director Miss Irma -- could it be that this new "atmosphere" is stemming from one who is abusing her position of authority ?? Is this place a learning facility or an all day lunch break?? I honestly hope someone looks into this matter before those that are running this place start giving it a bad name. more

Morongo Little Creators Preschool (formerly known as Morongo Indian Head Start) is a wonderful preschool program that is going to be open for Morongo Tribal Members, their descendents, and other Native American descendents. They are privately funded and do many great things for the children who attend. My son absolutely loved the year he spent here. The teachers are caring and wonderful. It is free, no cost at all, and is definitely recommended to anyone of Native American descent. more
