We purchased a pellet stove from this company 4 years ago. I have complained every season that I smell smoke when the stove is in use. Of course when they do come they fire up the stove and say, well, its always smells like smoke during the first fireup. HELLO I can leave on for days and I still smell smoke, especially upstairs. Last year I purchased 3 CO detectors in panic. I contacted the manufacturer of the stove and they said I should definitely not be smelling smoke, to check the connections. More than Stoves comes back out again and tells me that the chimney pipes and cap were not installed properly and that he has never seen such a thing. He (in front of me) calls the owner and he says ""don't tell her that"" I could hear him say that and even the tech had told me that after as well. He did what the owner told him to do, caulk all around the cap and hopefully this will resolve the issue. NOT. I turned the stove on for the first time this season earlier in the week and I still smell smoke. \r

I am at a loss. With the rebates being offered, I am wondering if now would be a good time to replace even though there is technically nothing wrong with the stove itself. DEFINITELY NOT FROM MORE THAN STOVES!\r
