I'm never unhappy with my hair when Melinda does it. She listens, has great ideas and is happy to keep working on it until I'm happy. When I'm getting my hair cut, she starts out conservatively then together we keep working on it until it's just right. As long as it takes. I can tell I'm not annoying her or hurting her feelings when I'm not quite satisfied; she just keeps happily working until I'm thrilled. more

This is the best haircut and color I've had in an extremely long time. She does a great job and listens to what you want and does it. She also gives out great recommendations. The salon is in an old house too so it has a lot of charm. I love it!! more

I hate to write a bad review, Im not that type of person, but I feel like I got duped out of 600 bucks and I have been crying for three days over this. I got hair extensions 8 days ago and they are already falling out, there are clumps of hair all over my house. Not only that you can see the wefts of hair coming through all over the place. That upsets me because I specifically asked her if that would happen and if it would, Id just get a hair cut instead, and she said they wouldnt. The braids they are sewn to have slipped (and vey crookedly) down at least an inch in some places, and completely out on one row. The ""hand tied"" hair I paid almost 300 bucks for is unravelling all over the place, large peices of it fall out all the time, and threads from it, and the thread that was used to sew them in stick straight out of the back of my head and are visible. They looked good for exactly two days. I was given no instruction on how to care for them, I asked several questions regarding care and was told only the two following things ""use a heat protector, and be careful combing them"". After washing them, they looked like a horse tail, and I was laughed at (literally) by two girls in a store. I wasnt told to use special products which I have since discovered is a neccessity, nor the other long list of things you must do to keep them looking normal. I just figured out how to care for them, courtesy of a hair forum, and now they are FALLING OUT! I paid 600 bucks to wear hats on my head for a week! Of the three rows only one is still completely intact. I had a consult where none of my questions were really adressed, that should have clued me in. The stylist seemed more concerned with getting paid, than with answering any questions. The place also had the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Its like they managed to find all the rude girls from high school and employ them in one place. Youd be better off buying clip on hair, you would be happier! I have been going to Kimberly at Moore Hair Design for about 6 months now. I had never been satisfied with a cut and color and used to bounce around from salon to salon until I finally found her! She is incredibly personable and skilled and so far, I have recommended her to 4 of my coworkers, all of which have gone to her and raved about their own experience with her. I LOVE Kimberly and recommend her to ANYONE! Call and ask for her! You won't regret it! Pros: Great availability, friendly, perfect haircut/color more

My color and cuts always look great! She's super nice and very attentive to details. I always get compliments on my hair. Pros: Great colorist - precision cuts more

I did a ton of research online and calling around to find the perfect person to style my hair for my wedding day. I'm from California and didn't know who to go to. I've always gone to top people and top salons to do my hair and had to find the very best in Utah for the big day. I'm so happy I found Kimberly Bailey at Moore Hair Design. My hair was absolutely gorgeous!!! She's extremely artistic and talented at styling hair. I recommend her to everyone looking for amazing hair! Pros: Amazing Hair!!! Cons: None! more

My stylist is Melinda at Moore Hair Design and she is by far the best colorist/stylist I have had ( I and I had many!) even the Pricey high end salons do not come close to the 'magic' Melinda performs... I recommend her to my friends and have had several people ask who does my hair, which I highly recommend Melinda. Besides the best hair colorist/sylist I've found she is so funny, making your visit there all around satisfying and enjoyable, and her prices are Very reasonable!! I've been ""Going to Brazil"" with Cally for a couple years now. She makes you feel very comfortable, when it could be SOOO awkward! She's very professional, clean, and has lightening fast hands. She also tints my lashes and brows and is amazing! Thanks Cal! Pros: The Girls are Great! more

I read all of the reviews saved my money, (I hate to tip lightly) I drove for one hour and a half and was greatly disappointed. FIrst off the little po-dunk salon does not look award winning by any means. I read reviews that they sit and talk with you about what style is best for you and go through photos and give you a great cut. Not the case Megan Moore took one look at me and passed judgement. Would not consult with me, she acted clueless when I asked her question after question. She didn't even cut or style my hair at all she just trimmed it and I still payed an arm and a leg. I moved to SLC from California & was terrified to change stylists. I called Moore Hair Design & was able to talk to Brooke about what I wanted and scheduleded an appointment. From the moment I arrived I was completely comfortable with her. She did an AWESOME job on my color & cut my hair exactly how I wanted it! I have been using my stylist every month for over a year and I will never go anywhere else! When Jessica, my stylist, moved to Moore Hair, I was apprehensive. I had not heard of the salon and I am most discriminating person in the world in regards to my hair. My first visit was amazing. I was comfortable, I felt pampered, it was first class service. I indeed felt they took true interest in positive customer service. I had always known that Jessica was talented, but the salon as its own entity was a wonderful place to go. I live in Utah Valley and I pass HUNDREDS of salons on my way and I will never enter their door so long as Moore Hair is around. Not only do they provide a service but an education. They are always on the cutting edge of new and unique treatments. They will never be the low price leader but if you care about being fashion forward, being treated with world class service, and a comfortable, un-intimidating environment, this is a salon you will truly enjoy. I had the worst neck, shoulder, and low back pain when I went in for my massage with Jessica. When I left I felt like a new woman. My pain is gone. I recently moved from Sacramento and was a little worried when I had to find a new stylist. I came across Kimberly Bailey at Moore Hair Design, and I couldnt be happier! Not only does my hair look amazing every time she colors and cuts it, but her company and hospitality is great too. She's very creative and extremely helpful when I need help deciding on a new look. I have to say that I had such an amazing experience at Moore Hair Design. I needed a new stylist and Jessica was recommended to me by a friend. She is fabulous! My color has never looked better! I have had compliments left and right from friends and coworkers! I am recommending her to all my friends. She was easy to talk to and you could tell she really new her stuff. I LOVE Kimberly @ Moore Hair Design!! I am one of those people that never knows what they want when they make a hair appointment. I am sooo clueless about what would work with my baby fine hair :( Then I met Kimberly!! She puts up with a lot considering my indecisiveness, yet I always walk out of there looking amazing. I never have to worry about how I am going to recover from a new hair disaster. Kimberly always lets me tell her what I would like to see happen (again I am clueless) and she guides me in a direction that always turns out far better than I could imagine.
