horrible doctor 5/2/2011

I thought Dr. Moore was pretty good at first, she was easy to talk to and took her time with me. However, as I kept going that 1st time experience turned out to be either fake or a fluke. The last visit was the worst. I went in for 2 issues. She helped me on the first one, then was condecending and didn't believe anything I was saying regarding the second issue. After a few minutes she told me she had no time to talk to me. She also talked about me to the nurse while I could hear her. Annoying, but then I had a major allergic reaction to the medicine she gave me for the 1st issue. I called right away, but got no return phone call. I finally paged her on a Saturday. Again she was rude. She told me I had to go in Monday to be seen. I called and called early Monday am and there was no answer. I left a ton of messages and never got anyone to call back. Then I found out she wasn't even there that day. I complained to the office manager, who was the first nice person I talked to, but I still had to make 3 or 4 phone calls to her to get a new perscription. I'm finding a new doctor for sure!!!! more

Terrible MD 10/18/2010

I do not recommend her. She is rude, abbrassive and dismissive. She has NO bed side manner and does not follow-up with her patients directly. Worst MD I have ever had...felt obliged to write this review so as to make sure either she changes or you stay away. I will pray that she changes... more

Not recommended 11/13/2009

I saw Dr. Moore once about 8 months ago. I was not impressed at all, but she got the job done and all was well. I recently returned for a flu shot, follow up blood work up and also requested a full appointment when I scheduled because I wanted to ask her about a few small health concerns. During our visit Dr. Moore was condescending and dismissive of the health concerns I shared. She offered minimal explanation and spoke down to me. I quickly began to feel silly or stupid for even asking these questions. I had about 5 quick things to discuss and she spent less than 10 minutes with me. One of my questions was about some ear discomfort I've had on an off for a few years. She said she would check my ears when we were done talking, but then she forgot and left the room. When she popped back in to hand me a Rx, I said, ""oh, didn't you want to check my ears?"" Dr. Moore, chuckled and said, ""OK, but for the future I really need you to only ask just one or two questions when you come in. Otherwise I get overwhelmed. This appointment needs to be more focused next time."" I was blown away. and told her she didn't have to check my ears at all if it was a problem. She became embarrassed and apologized. But then said, again, to limit my questions for next time. I had about 5 small things to ask about, mind you, and she only spent about 10 minutes talking with me total. I paid a copay and made an appointment. I guess I was wrong to believe I deserved her attention, compassion, and authenticity in return. She may be a decent doc, but I don't think a doctor should make anyone feel badly about asking questions. It's important for patients to feel really comfortable. I'll be taking my health needs elsewhere in the future and do not recommend this doc to anyone. I haven't seen Dr. Spears (same practice) so possibly she is a more compassionate and authentic physician. Pros: location Cons: Terrible, condescending, dismissive physician more

Awful, awful doctor. Worst I have EVER seen... 6/30/2009

I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. In my opinion, Dr. Moore is THE WORST doctor I have ever seen. She is abrasive, disrespectful, insecure and jumps to (many) conclusions. She may seem young and sweet, but she's a wolf in sheep's clothing. I have seen her twice, and the only reason I went back a second time was to give her the benefit of the doubt. Bad idea. Dr. Moore was interruptive, dismissive and rude and her bedside manner and approach (if there is one) are atrocious. I was horrified when I left my appointment (in tears - and I never cry) and I am usually an assertive, strong, fairly healthy individual. Due to some surgeries and recent treatments for a particular health issue (I was hospitalized and nearly died), I have had some concerns about long-term affects of medicine, which she refused to discuss with me. I was also looking for/open to alternative information about things I might be able to do to ease some of the symptoms/issues I am having. She did not take any of my concerns seriously, she brushed off my health history and refused to discuss any issues or questions that I had. I have no clue what her problem was, though it almost felt personal, which is odd since I have never met her and she knows nothing about me. I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor (and I've had a bad doctor or two) or been made to feel so belittled and unimportant. Beyond that, she didn't even ATTEMPT to offer any useful information or advice in regards to the concerns I had - no suggestions of things I could do at home, or signs to watch out for if things got worse, or an explanation of why she wasn't troubled about something. Aside from the VERY GENUINE health concerns that she completely disregarded, she also ignored a test result which would have supported the concerns I brought to her. I would not recommend her to friends family, or even enemies. What a terribly upsetting experience. Pros: Can't think of one. Cons: That it's not an option to give zero stars. more

My PERFECT doctor! 8/15/2008

I hate doctors. I've always hated doctors. I could care less about dentists, they don't bother me--but I avoid doctors like the plague. HOWEVER!, I have finally found a doctor that I absolutely adore! DR. ANISA MOORE is an angel. She listens to everything I want to tell her, she is kind and gentle and caring! She smiles, and she hugs me. She remembers who I am. She is honest and sweet and would go out of her way to help me. I would go to her with any problem I had. I feel 100% comfortable with her. I am getting my own insurance, and I will only get insurance that she accepts--even if it costs more. She is worth any drive or any insurance plan to me. I trust her with all of my health, and I have referred everyone I know to her! The entire office is just as sweet! Pros: caring, kind, comforting, trust worthy, sweet, friendly, personable, helpful, listens, etc. etc. more

Dr. Anisa Moore is a phenomenal internist! 6/1/2007

I cannot believe how lucky I am to have found Dr. Anisa Moore! I used to see Dr. Allen Schreiber, and althought I went to him for several years, he never diagnosed my rheumatoid arthritis (probably because he never bothered to listen to me). Dr. Moore caught it on my very first visit! She sits down with you and lets you talk without interrupting, other than to ask pertinent questions and clarify what you're saying. She is approachable, funny, caring, and EXTREMELY thorough. I've never had such a detailed physical in my life! She even lets patients e-mail her with questions (how many doctors do that?) I haven't met Dr. Spears, the other doctor at Aspenwood, but the staff that I have met are friendly and helpful. If you need a doctor who will listen to you and go over you with a fine tooth comb, go see Dr. Moore! Pros: friendly, funny, thorough internist Cons: doesn't see children more

A very refreshing phyiscian practice! 5/11/2007
