Great Dinner 9/18/2002

I had a wonderful experience at the boathouse last night. The service was fantastic. I had gone out on a limb to order something other than my normal pork chops, and did not like my selection. It was the special of the night. I'm sure that the entree was wonderful, but just not to my taste. They brought my favorite to replace it. Over all the food and service was an A+. more

Fantastic ribs and ambience, great value 8/23/2002

Hands down this is the restaurant to take visitors to if they've never been to the Boathouse. You get an exceptional meal, quality service, a great atmosphere and a view of the water (ask for a window seat) without having to pay outrageous prices. What a find and our favorite restaurant! more

Their ribs are the best! For my taste I find their barbecue sauce a little too sweet, but you can ask for the sauce on the side. The atmosphere is romantic & wonderful, my daugther was engaged & had her wedding rehersal dinner here. The only problem I had is that the restaurant is so dimly lit, with a tiny candle on the table, that it is was hard to see the menu. You'll need to bring a pen light, the servers don't have any. Weekends are packed so you'll have to make reservations early. Pros: Romantic, Tasty, Great Choices Cons: Dark, Noisy, Crowded more

Best Barbecue! 7/26/2002

I now live in California, and my mouth waters at the thought of Montgomery Inn barbecue sauce! It truly is the best... smothering anything, from the Saratoga chips to the chicken to the ribs! I miss it so much, and would recommend Montgomery Inn to anyone. It is also a very romantic place to eat... have dinner, then take a walk on the riverside. Pros: Location, Food quality, Great parking Cons: none, none, none more

Really like going to the boathouse, it is worth the cost, the ribs are excellent and all menu items I have tried have been great, service is prompt, always a great overall experience. Pros: Great View Cons: Expensive more
