Our cat was hit by a car, and he needed immediate medical attention. My husband brought Buddy to Montgomery Animal Hospital. Dr. Jeff Leutke was in that night. They were getting ready to close, and the whole staff jumped in and did everything they could to make sure Buddy got what he needed. Dr. Leutke performed one surgery that night, and several others within the next few days. Some of these surgeries he had only done a few times, and one of them, he had never done. We had all the confidence in the world in his abilities. Buddy spent 10 days with them, receiving the most amazing and affectionate care from all staff members. We spoke to Dr. Leutke every day about Buddy's progress. After 3 surgeries, and lots of care from everyone, Buddy is now home with us and healing very well. After trying several Vets - I took my dog to Montgomery Animal Hospital and Dr Schrader quickly fiqured out what the problem was and I am grateful. He was very kind and took his time going over the history and that is rare these days. Most vets allocate 10 minutes and send you on your way. Doc actually called several days later to see how things were going. He always follows up after every vist. You just don't find the care and compassion these days. more

I am a physician whose pets have received care at M.A.H. since 1990. I have never found the care to be anything but EXCELLENT. Both vets are competent, caring people who take time to do a proper and thorough exam, explain their findings and make recommendations in a clear,concise, manner. As a physician, I am confident that I would recognize substandard care, and I have never found anything that even comes close! In fact, one of my cats received the recommendation of dental cleaning frequently over his almost 19 years of life from my vet. This is in response to "Please do not go here..." When one of my newly adopted cats had ringworm, the complicated care required was successful. When my dog who was being boarded became ill, the vet called me in Florida to keep me informed on a daily basis until my return. In short, my pets receive QUALITY CARE at M.A.H. The Veterinarians, techs and staff have taken excellent care of all my dogs and have given me great referrals to specialists when needed. They are all wonderful and loving to both the animals and their families, and I highly recommend them! more

They took fine care of my dog here. She got a bath and looked good. You have to pick up your dog by 9:00 am the next morning in order not to be charged for another day. I got there at 9:15 and they still charged me. With all of the other boarding places in the area I would not take m y dog back here. more

I recently brought my dog to Montgomery Animal Hospital for the first time last month. My girl was extremely sick with a very high temperature and significantly increased respirations. I was so scared and did not know what was wrong. I called the hospital and explained my situation and was told to bring her right over. I was seen immediately by a very caring and compassionate veterinarian who I found out is new to the hospital. He asked me several questions and gained her and my trust immediately by addressing her by name in a calming manner. As he examined her thoroughly, she seemed to know that she was in competent and caring hands and that he would make her well soon. He explained the possible diagnoses and treatments with me in a manner that I could understand and even asked me if I had and questions which he answered completely. In no time at all, she was in the back receiving care. She had blood work drawn, X-Rays taken, and IV fluids and medications started immediately. I did no more
