Montessori Childrens Garden

I have to disagree with the previous reviewer about this daycare. While some parents may find her abrasive, she is really just looking out for the children's best interest (growth and development). She has a very objective opinion, and sometimes that comes across as ""not listening to parent's concerns"". She will not coddle your child and not give into behavior that she thinks will be detrimental to your child's growth--esp., if it will negatively affect his/her future schooling. After all, she believes in getting kids emotionally and academically prepared for Kindergarten and on. She does have an assistant that helps care for the kids, so that none are ever left alone. And because the daycare is ran out of her home, she does on very rare occassions have family over for an hour or two, but the children are never left by themselves. I help out in class sometimes, and I can assure you that her #1 priority is the kids' safety and well-being. She makes all parent volunteers get fingerprinted and checked out at the Sheriff's office!\r \r All the kids that come from her daycare excel in Kindergarten and beyond. The principal at a local private school where my other son attends have taken kids from her daycare and has told me that they come in well-prepared for kindergarten. Marina Shamsuozzoha is unable to listen to parental concerns. She is unwilling to allow parents to address concerns they may have over the care of their children. If concerns are brought up it is blamed on the parent and child. She is aggressive and tactless and unwilling to listen to any opinion other than her own. She believes it is morally within her rights as a childcare provider for her to host private social gatherings during school hours as long as she in ""on the premises"". Even though she is within her legal rights to do so I believe that this kind of behavior shows disregard for the wellbeing of the children and disregard for her role as a ""directress"". She is unprofessional and inappropriate and harsh when interacting with concerned parents. She holds herself to different standards than she holds the young children to in her care. I would not recommend this daycare for these reasons. The children are not allowed to play in her garden only on concrete. There is no water play. more
