Greetings Brides and Grooms! It is so unfortunate that Montefiori closed their doors, leaving so many excited couples without a venue for their future wedding. I can only imagine the frustration and disappointment they are feeling. Montefiori was a beautiful venue and it is upsetting to hear that they were forced to close their doors after so many wonderful years of business. My name is Kacie and I am an Event Coordinator for The Pavilion at Orchard Ridge Farms, located in Rockton, IL. I would like to introduce The Pavilion to those brides and grooms who are looking for a venue to host their upcoming wedding. The Pavilion is a 10,000 square foot event venue that can hold up to 450 guests. Montefiori sent me a letter stating they were closing and won't be able to host my wedding in May. I'm pretty sure they're filing for bankruptcy and I won't get my money back. The company that owns them is called Lifescape Productions and they own other things as well. Make sure you don't do business with them!!!!! more

Just recieved a certified letter that Monte Fiori is closing after I had already put a down payment down. My wedding was to be in 6 Months and now I have to start all over and find somewhere with the same date. This is so sad and I'm even comsidering going from a 150 person wedding to go and elope because I cant do it all over agian. Anyone else out there going through the same thing?? more

My husband and I had our reception here in 2008. Marilyn was our corrdinator there and she was awful! We had about 80 guests, easy right? Every meeting to organize the wedding plans with Marilyn was stressful because she was very rude. She has no people skills and shouldn't be working with brides. She treated us like she had no time for our party since she had larger parties to attend to, really unprofessional and tacky. Marge was much better and came to the rescue but only after I had a sour taste in my mouth about the whole thing. The food was terrible. It was good at the tasting but at the wedding, everything was overcooked. Nobody said that the food was good and the only thing my guests enjoyed was the ambiance. If I had to do it over I wouln't pick this venue for my wedding reception. It was expensive, the food was terrible and the staff was really rude. my oldest daughter got married here, and it was so pretty! Pros: pretty, well kept areas Cons: the people work so hard to make it pretty i hope they get ap more
