Do not do business with this company. Absolutely the worst experience I have had with a local business. I am all for supporting local businesses but not this one. He was absolutely difficult to work with. Juan did not deliver the blinds and shutters that he promised and the shutters that he produced were all wrong in size, they didn't even fit on the window! But he insisted that he was right and never apologized for his mistakes or the fact that he punched unnecessary holes in our window molds. We struggled to get our deposit back since he gave us faulty products and eventually threw them away himself... Never will I ever recommend this company to anyone else and am surprised they are not shut down/out of business. Steer clear! more

Not sure what Matthew L's problem is but Juan was awesome to work with. By the way Matthew to ""quote"" someone please use "" marks or at least spell the word correctly. Quote.\r Juan of Monroe Blinds was awesome to work with. We wanted wood shutters on all our windows of our new home. We called and met with several ""national"" companies which all said our windows were too large for single panel shutters. Since we have had single panel shutters in the past we kept looking. Juan had left his business card in our mailbox while doing other jobs in our neighborhood so we called. He came right out and wanted to show us the type of shutters he makes at his shop in Monroe even though they were not what we were looking for. We visited his shop twice; which is topnotch for a locally owned business. He makes vinyl shutters and blinds on premises. We still wanted single panel shutters so Juan was able to get them for us. Within 4 weeks they were ready and Juan and his crew came out and installed all 19 customs shutters in about 2hrs. Beautiful is the best way to describe the workmanship and product. I would recommend Juan to anyone looking for quality work be it shutters or blinds. His cost was well below the other companies and I believe in supporting a local business any day. more

I wish there was an option for ZERO stars. ABSOLUTELY the WORST business I have ever encountered with. It's so disgusting how he treats his patients. We purchased more than $5,000 worth of Plantation shutters and starting from the first day he was rude to us when trying to advise us on what to put on our new windows. He took quick measurements of (not even all) our windows and then zoomed off saying that he would have them installed in two weeks. He comes back in 2 weeks and it is a complete DISASTER. NONE of the shutters fit on our window and he kept on insisting that they were all perfect. He nailed nails onto the frame of the shutter and when we demanded that he take them off there were disgusting holes in the windows that he tried to install. He denied the faulty measurements and just kept on yelling (in his broken english) that they were all perfect and that all we need were frames... Why would you not know that we needed frames from the beginning?!. He then has the audacity to go back and come back in 2 weeks and says he has to "remeasure" everything. Shouldn't this have been done on the VERY first day?. He denies any action being his fault and gives empty apologies saying "sorry sorry" and then goes into blaming something about our windows. We then ask him when he would have them to us (when they were supposed to be in a week ago) and he says that it may take 6-7 weeks saying that "I'm so busy"... I'm surprised he has any business with that kind of personality and work ethic.\r \r We are in the process of suing him for giving us faulty products and not returning our "deposit" of $2000 if he does not come back soon with absolute perfect shutters. He has not only wasted our money but also our time and has made us frustrated for months. \r \r NEVER do business with them.\r more

Juan has installed blinds for me personally in two properties and for hundreds of my clients. His prices are competitive, his installation is quick and professional and his lifetime warranty is phenomenal. I gladly recommend him and look forward to using his company again in the future. more

Juan is a nice guy and his prices are competitive, however, he doesn't handle pressure very well and gets flustered easily, which drops his service level below acceptable. He doesn't have a GPS, doesn't listen well (or speak English well), doesn't follow directions accurately and got lost on his way to our home. When he finally arrived to our house, after calling our phone over 12 times, he was sweating and throwing a hissy fit. We will never use him again nor refer him to anyone we know. You can't do business in that manner and remaining professional at all times is a must. Everyone gets flustered but you have to keep your cool and remember that your customer and your service is first priority. more
