I went to Monkey Jungle as a child in the 70's and have wonderful memories of the place and the monkeys. So wonderful that I decided to take my own children there last year...and ...

Very cool 1/30/2011

we had made it a family trip for all of us to go to. Lucky Ant was able to make it, his plane got him there just in time. He had flew of to see this girl he had been talking to in IN. Eric and Ryan took to day off from school and we had a blast. We came here first and watched the monkeys got o town. This one Monkey really like Ryan it was pretty funny followed him through out almost the whole park. My mom took a million pictures of course. We had a blast and after that we went to eat! More on that later though. I bought my mom and dad some souvenirs. This place was pretty amazing. more

Loved it 3/11/2010

we wish we had visited this place sooner because we would have gone several times... best place for kid's. well worth your money.. Pros: the animals seem so happy Cons: none more

Monkey Jungle is a Hoot! 12/12/2008

Monkey Jungle is really fun if you take the time to feed the monkeys (in their little tin cups). It is fascinating to watch the interactions between the monkeys, and the baby monkeys are just too cute. Be sure to download the discount coupon off the website. It is easy to find off the FL Turnpike. more

Great Place for Kids 10/18/2005

Children love this place. They can get really close to the displays of animals. There is something to look at all around this place. It is a little expensive to go there with entrance for your whole family, but the good thing is : discount coupons are offered all the time for this place. Kids just love looking at the different species and learning about them. There is also fun places to eat and a cute gift shop. more

They have gone way downhill 7/30/2005

I went to Monkey Jungle as a child in the 70's and have wonderful memories of the place and the monkeys. So wonderful that I decided to take my own children there last year...and boy was I shocked. I realize they suffered tremendous damage from Hurricane Andrew years ago...but I did not realize that they have barely come back from all the damage. The parking lot was hardly recognizeable as a lot...and the signs to find Monkey Jungle were barely noticeable. The entry fee was ridiculously high. There were many closed exhibits, blocked-off walkways, etc. We made it through the entire place in under an hour - way less than what we expected for the money we paid. It was very disappointing. PROS: cute mokeys CONS: overprices, limited exhibits, run-down more

Caged Humans 7/27/2005

This place is great. Humans are basically caged and the animals run free. If you child loves animals like mine does then this place is a must. Kids love it and want to go back again and again. PROS: Great Place for fun. CONS: None more

Monkeys galore, can you ask for anything more? 7/12/2005

Well I have to say I've been fascinated by monkeys all my life and have enjoyed my visits to Monkey jungle each time I've been there..There are nearly 400 of them to see in this park as they roam free on this 30 acre property while you the visiter observe from cages enclosures. Interactive demonstrations of the Orangutangs are fascinating as well ..The only downside is that this park can be a bit dirty at times...Guess that is natural with monkeys running around free..:) PROS: A look into a monkeys world CONS: can be a bit dirty more

Poor Monkeys 6/21/2005

Please do not visit or support Monkey Jungle. This animal park gives you a bad feeling about keeping these poor sweet animals in cages. They seem so unhappy and they seem to have lost thir spirits. They should be free or in a zoo where they will be happier. This is defintely not worth visiting. more

the humans are caged and the monkeys run wild! 6/11/2005

the humans are caged and the monkeys run wild! THis place is ONE OF A KIND! i'm serious. THe place is expensive but you will never forget how cool these monkeys are. more

"Where Humans are Caged and the Monkeys Run Wild" 5/11/2005

Yes, it's true. As you walk around the tropical gardens, monkeys run over your head, separated by metal "cages" that protect you from bites, but not errant droppings. Despite the occasional encounter with monkey scat, this is a fun place to visit. There are 30 species of primates represented at Monkey Jungle, and you'll see them eating, sleeping and getting down! In addition to the monkeys, there's an aviary with beautiful birds who are more than willing to poop on you in case the monkeys didn't. more
