Kind of like a factory dental practice. You can't get a cleaning and a check up on the same day, they try to require you to get an orthodontal check up as well (I had braces years ago-I'm good, thanks), and they charge you when you need to get your x-rays transferred over to another practice. On top of that, my X-Rays weren't clear, so I had to get new ones made anyway. They will only refer you to their monarch surgeons for wisdom teeth extractions who do not have any convenient appointment dates or locations. So glad that I switched. more

Of the two front office staff members, one was fairly friendly. However, one was quite rude. She lacked understanding and had little empathy for our concerns. Her attitude said, ""Please get out of my hair."" ?She was insensitive and did not have the personable attitude usually required for a successful front desk assistant. more

This location of Monarch worked me in due to an emergency visit. They were very kind and took care of the severe paid I was experiencing. I am truly grateful. more

Thank you to everyone in the office and especially Dr. Pena. It is most uncomfortable having dentures and then having them worked on but without fail everyone was respectful and very pleasant to be around! more

Very good doctor 12/28/2011

I would like to compliment my dentist, Dr. Lunarden (Lemmon Ave, Dallas) for his professionalism, friendliness, care and concern he shows. I was so surprised when he called my home to check up on me after my root canal. Even though I only see him once a year, he always remember me when I am there for my cleanings. I would also like to say my dental hygenist is very friendly, but also very professional. more

Bunch of Un-professionals 4/1/2011

I was scheduled for 10:00am and I have to wait for an hour to see the doctor. Doctor was some new kid out of school and he wanted to experiment on my teeth. Very unprofessional people working at this office. I called the office and the call was attended by someone in call center. Nobody in office knew anything about billing. I don't know how these guys are in business. more

I think this is a SCAM 11/30/2009

I just left this dentists office where I was told that I needed a $900 cleaning because I had periodontal disease. I began to be suspicious when they refused to schedule a regular cleaning for me and said that on the first appointment they could ONLY do a consultation until they determined whether or not I had small enough pockets for a regular cleaning. I will be looking for a second opinion and I am VERY disapointed with this pattern of unethical medical practice that appears to be taking place in this office. I will be contacting my insurance company, the BBB and the medical board to report my concerns. Cons: Evidently, all of their patients have Periodontal Disease more

Be informed 10/7/2009

Although I understand many of the concerns about your offered treatment at this particular office periodontal disease is a "silent disease" that nearly 70% of american suffer from. A simple cleaning (prophy) without a deep scaling and root planning will not clean the bacteria/plaque that has created the deep pockets around your teeth. A full mouth probing will only determine what your periodontal class is. Any pockets around a tooth that is 5 mm or greater and that bleeds when the dentist probes in general means that the specific area will need a deep scale to remove the harmful bacteria and hopefully get the pockets back to 3 mm or less. There are one or two exceptions on that but I will let you do your own research. Please also check out the ADA (Ameican Dental Association) website to learn how periodontal disease is diagnosed by dentists so you can make an informed choice on your treatment and not just go with the cheapest option. more
