I had a friend tell me to go to Moms wholesale florist for my wedding flowers since I was on a budget. I met with ""mom"" she was nice and I got a good feeling about her, even though the place is not nice, at all. I did not book that day, I felt I was not given the details on what I would actually get. I was given a price but no details on how many flowers would be in my bouqet, what type of greenery ect. So I left so I could figure out excactly what I wanted and then return when I figurd it out. The next time I visited the daughter helped me, cannot remeber her name but boy was she RUDE!!!! I almost burst in to tears because she was soooo mean to me. I came intending on finding out details on what I would be getting before I forked over 50% of the total cost. I brought a book with flowers I liked and a magazine page I had ripped out of a bouquet I liked. I had read that this is a good idea when you meet with the florist. The lady said I was giving her bad ""mojo"" with my book and magazine page, ""Where was that thing published anyway"" she said. I was to picky and I should go to Granite Bay and get my flowers done there. She was so rude in her delivery, I had to figh back tears! Imagine, a bride being picky about her flowers on the biggest day of a womans life. All I asked for was roses, a certain varitey I had seen and some green filler I liked. I was not aking for some exotic species grown in some third world country, these are roses I have seen at Safeway. Needles to say, had she kindly told me I'm sorry but we don't have that and I would hate to disappoint you on your big day, but here are some other opitons we can offer, that would have been great. She basically told me she did not want my business and the type of brides she works with are the type who say, I like the color pink. Then they fork over 50% and what they get is what they get. I was very upset but lucky ended up booking with a far nicer florist (visual impact design) for about the same price.
