When i adopted Tulip, a Ten year old, one eyed pekinese, i thought i might be able to offer her a good home for one or two years. She had chronic health issues that should have significantly shortened her life, yet tulip was happy and active in her senior years. Thanks to the expertise and caring of the doctors and staff of Mohnacky of Carlsbad my "Little Girl" made it to 15 1/2. I cant begin to put a value on the gift of those extra years. I will always be grateful. more

The best care in the USA! 6/28/2011

Everyone provides explanations to include kindness, caring, sensitive understanding to go above, excel even when the owner has a difficult time with hospice care and their pet's needs. They understand when you have loss without you having to explain your thoughts. Their proactive explanations to help the owner understand the needed tests for preventative care prevent costly treatments that are needed and provide lasting pet ownership toward the long, happy and active life of your pet. The best care in the USA! more

Very patient with me 6/16/2011

Our 17 Week old Akita Puppy had something wrong with her right leg, it was bowed and 2-3 inches shorter then the other leg. I was referred to Dr George by Dr Dixon @ Mohnacky Escondido and could not have had two better doctors. Dr. George and his staff at Carlsbad were very patient with me and my husband and answered all of our questions no matter how many times it was repeated. Everyone could see how emotionally upset i was and was treated with such kindness, and their smiles made me feel so much better, Knowing Nikki was in excellent care made her surgery more relaxing for me. Jamie is an excellent nurse,..Very patient and kindhearted. My experience has been great. Dr. George explained the pre-surgery, surgery, and post-surgery in great detail. We couldn't have asked for anyone more qualified. The Mohnacky Animal Hospital Came highly recommended and i am truly appreciative of everyone there. more

Dr. George of Carlsbad performed surgery on my dog Lillie. A friend who happens to be a Vet saw her 5 days later, and was so impressed that Lillie was doing so well in such a short period of time. I have complete confidence in Dr. George and am so pleased that Lillie has improved so quickly. My only challenge is keeping her reasonably quiet until she is completely healed. more

Impressive, Thank You 6/9/2011

Dr. George at the Carlsbad Mohnacky Animal hospital has taken care of my dog Smokey since he was diagnosed with hip dysphasia in February 2010. On May 4th 2011, Smokey underwent the Helica Total Hip Replacement. Today he is the happiest he has been in a long time. Dr. George and the entire staff of Mohnacky Carlsbad is Wonderful and have taken great care of Smokey. more

Come here for great customer service 5/26/2011

Come here for great customer service and care I have recently moved to California and I brought my 2 dogs here for a rabies vaccination. The receptionist was extremely friendly and checked me in promptly. After they gathered my information the doctor came in and introduced herself to me. She was very friendly and got down on the floor with my dogs jumping all over her! She performed a very thorough physical exam on my two pets who were only there for a rabies shot. She took the time to get to know me since I was new to the area and advised some recommendations on grooming for my pets. I would have liked her to give my dogs the vaccinations as they were then brought to the back for a tech to do however I was quickly helped at the front desk and my dogs came back out to me very happy. I will definately go back!! Very caring vet and staff.. more

You Were All Fantastic 5/5/2011

Mohnacky Animal Hospital is a great place. I've brought both my dogs to Carlsbad over two years and have never had any problems. The staff is very friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. One of my dogs recently had surgery and they called to check up on her and called several times throughout the procedure to le6t me know how she is doing. It's hard to find a place where you trust them with your animals and Mohnacky is definitely that place! more

I can not begin to express my feelings of gratitude to all at Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Carlsbad. While i was in PA Caring for my ill mother, i received a call from my dog sitter saying my pet Ashley was ill and called Mohnacky and then immediately received her without hesitation and began to care for her subsequently. I was told Ashley had a large mass in her abdomen. I was devastated! They could perform surgery and Ashley would do well. Today I am taking Ashley home confident she will recover. Thanks to the care, compassion, and treatment received at Mohnacky Animal Hospital. Sincere Appreciation. more

Thank You For All Your Help 4/26/2011

Dr. Djordjevich in Carlsbad saved our dear Elway, a 9-year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. In February 2010, Elway had a heart attack from a defective heart valve degeneration. After CPR at home, we brought her back to life! The prognosis was grim. The 'textbook' prognosis was 2-8 weeks. But Dr. Djordjevich was hopeful and optimistic and put Elway on the prescribed medicines for his condition, plus an additional 'human' heart medicine. Dr. Djordjevich also started Elway on pet stem cells (StemPet). Our first goal was to make it to September 1, 2010, Elway's 10th birthday. We made it. The next goal was Christmas 2010 and we made it. Our next goal is February 12, 2011, which will be one year. We are now nearing the end of January 2011, so we are hopeful we'll get past the one-year mark. Every day we have Elway is a gift. Thanks so much to Mohnacky Animal Hospital! By far the best vets we have seen with our three Cavaliers (Elways, Kobe, and Tiger). more

I love this Vet 4/1/2011

I love this Vet I have been bringing my pet to the Carlsbad location since 2003. The Dr's and staff are always warm, friendly and caring and when ever my precious doggie is under the weather or I have a question they are there for me. They have convenient extended hours and always make time for us even if they are busy. I am always presented with an estimate prior to services so that there are no surprises. I highly recommend this facility more

As clients of Mohnacky Animal Hospital in Carlsbad for more then 12 years, we cannot emphasize enough the wonderful care given to our animals on all occasions! The doctors are always involved in the latest technologies for the good of the animals as noted by Dr. Djordjevich's Work in joint replacement. The staff is always couteous, friendly and helpful. Great Experience With Chloe When we brought her here for a dislocated knee. Doctors, Nurse and Staff put us at ease and made it very comfortable. Explanation of our situation was pleasant and made it easy for us to understand. more

Best Vets In Town! 3/8/2011

I had a good reception from the Carlsbad hospital when i called regarding the reminder card that i received for my pets overdue vaccines and yearly check up. The Staff was very polite and thorough on what was required, Costs were very reasonable. I also received a call as promised after my pet came through surgery. more

A huge thank you to Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Carlsbad. Rosie, as well as all pets, is a very special angel with fur. She has a job to do as a very important Kelly Elementary School member. Her main role is to be known as Rosie the Reading Dog and to invite a sense of confidence and non-judgement as students improve reading skills. But she is also a confidant, a playmate, and all around good buddy to the children. Recently, she has stepped into the next level as we have just completed the paperwork to become Pet Partners through Delta Society. Following the terrifying incident of a school shooting on October 8, the Delta Society sent teams to help children reclaim their campus. They faithfully arrived at recess and lunches for two weeks straight. Watching their healing work and the benefit they provided our families made Rosie want to join their team to give back to others the good they gave to her children. Mohnacky Animal Hospital graciously and compassionately cared for Rosie who is now fully ready to continue her good work. We are so grateful. more

We sincerely appreciate everything you did for Star! 1/31/2011

We have been going to Mohnacky Animal Hospital of Carlsbad for over 20 years now and are so appreciative of the continued care that Dr. Djordjevich and his staff have have provided to our pets. Most recently our beloved Star had had a torn cruciate and Dr. Djordjevich performed a new and improved TTA on her. The surgery went very well and her recovery is progressing as planned. We appreciate the quality time and valuable information Dr. Djordjevich provided us with. The entire staff (especially Mary) was very accommodating and attentive to our needs. We sincerely appreciate everything you did for Star! more
