Our experience could not have been any better with Modern Movers. We read so many reviews and horror stories about moving companies, I absolutely was going to give credit to a company that does it job- so here it is! They were the only company that came out and did an in home estimate (set up 2 others- no showed) and gave us a not to exceed guarantee. They were not the cheapest but were extremely reasonable and the online quotes could not be guaranteed anyways. The driver (Tom) was exactly on time the day they said they would be there and he, Mike, and Juan did an excellent job getting everything wrapped and out of the house quickly and efficiently and were a pleasure to work with. They were wonderful working around us and answered all our questions. We also sent a car and unlike other moving companies it goes right on the truck with our furniture! Another thing we really appreciated is that Tom was with our belongings from the time they loaded to the time that they delivered. more

Had these guys come and move me from my old apartment into my new house. They did a great job of packing everything up, moving it all and were very professional in the whole move. They didn't damage a thing during the move. I only had a few complaints: 1) They tipped my filing cabinet dumping ALL my files out that were inside the cabinet. In fairness they did tell me to take them out. 2) They don't accept AMEX. Other than that, they had great customer service during before and even after the move. more

This was our first large move due to my husband transferring to a different hospital. My husband is a surgeon and changed hospitals and the most important part of the entire relocation was timing. We needed to be packed and loaded up on a certain date and delivered on a specific date as well. We got 2 other estimates other than Modern Movers but due to the referrals from other physicians my husband works with and Moderns attention to detail we choose them; not the cheapest but surly the best. The hospital has a vendor list for corporate relocation and they were a preferred relocation company. We were asked to review their company once the move was completed to make sure we were completely satisfied which I was. Our price was a binding not to exceed estimate paid by the hospital and we could not be more thrilled with the choice we made especially hearing different moving horror stories from friends and family members. Our move was from our home and from a storage unit we had not been in for about 2 years. Their crew moved us without a hitch. Damages I guess are a part of every move, in our case, a bookcase didn't make it all the way to New York and was basically useless by the time it arrived as it had some glass inlays that broke so they reimbursed us the $375.00 we paid for it a year ago. We found Modern Movers to be a very reputable, efficient and reliable company, we hope you do too. more

I had a semi-complicated scenario because I needed to move furniture back and forth between two residences.\r \r The 3 movers arrived a few minutes early, which was great because I had elevators reserved in both buildings. They moved the items swiftly and efficiently. We did not get charged extra fees for packing materials. \r \r I love a deal and I love great service. I had my expectations exceeded with Modern Movers. I was pleasantly surprised that they helped the move go very smoothly and efficiently while being careful with all of our items. I would use them again in a heartbeat. more

Amazing! I just wanted to recognize Modern Movers for exemplary service in helping my wife and I with our move. We just found our dream house and Modern Movers crew made the moving portion very seamless and worry-free. I was not looking forward to my first big move as an adult, where I couldn't just pay my friends with beer and pizza. \r \r I have a lot of heavy stuff and live on the third floor.... These guys were great! The estimate was honest and straightforward. They explained all the fees and guidelines upfront and made sure that I understood how the move would work. I was scheduled to move at 5:30 pm and they called before 4:30 pm to let me know they were running late and that they would be at my place by 5:45. I was fine with that, I was still packing some boxes. : ) They arrive at 5:40 and started loading the truck. They were very fast and it was hard to tell that I was the THIRD person they had moved that day. I was amazed. Once the truck was loaded, I rode with them to my new place and we began the unloading. Modern Movers gets 10 stars. \r \r Their website was super easy to use and I submitted for an online quote. Shannon in the office promptly called me back and was easy to work with. She was very knowledgeable on everything that would be needed for my move. Modern Movers provided the cheapest quote and let me know of any added costs there may be.\r \r The crew arrived promptly at 8:45am for a 9am start time. They were amazing.... they completed my move in only 3 1/2 hours when I was quoted at 4 1/2. Coming in under the quoted price is always a beautiful thing. They were very careful with all my things (everything was in perfect condition post move) and they were extremely patient with me.... I may or may not have asked them to move a few pieces of furniture around the condo a few times (what can I say... I'm indecisive and I tipped them accordingly!) :-) \r \r I literally have nothing but good things to say about Modern Movers and they will definitely be my first recommendation to anyone moving to fort myers, florida! more
