I really can't think of anything positive to say in regards to my experience at Modern Bride. My best friend is getting married so I made an appt. for a Saturday to go to the store and order the dress she picked out. Upon arrival I waited 25 minutes past my appt time. Once someone was able to see me, my measurements were taken at the register in front of the busy Saturday morning crowd of customers and I was told my deposit was due. Then I was informed that my dress would be ordered when all the bridesmaids had been in. I was never offered to see or try on the dress, though one of other bridesmaid did get to see and try on the sample when she went? It would have been nice to see what I was buying. Months go by and the dress comes in.The bridesmaids are told that we get a free press and hem with the purchase. To make an appt for the press, hem & any needed alterations when you work 9-5, M-F was a true effort in itself, I was being offered 2 and 3pm fittings after I told the staff I worked 9-5. Saturdays were completely unavailable. The seamstress I met with made me feel very rushed. The dress was super tight so I asked her to take an inch out on each side. Upon getting the dress after the alterations it was apparent that I didn't get what I (pre)paid for. The dress was exactly the same. After comparing my dress to that of the smarter bridesmaid who refused to pay Modern Bride's prices for her alterations, it was obvious my dress was not let out, they just removed the boning in the side. The other bridesmaid compared her unaltered dress to mine (along with a dressmaker/seamstress) only to see that along the vertical seems of the dress from the arm pit to the hips, the extra fabric that one would use to let the dress out had horizontal cuts in it making it impossible to have the dress let out. When I called them about the alterations paid for I was told that I was wrong.I told them that all 3 dresses we had at that moment all had the horizontal cuts the manager became condenscending and refused to acknowledge that
