Fast and friendly! Went in for an oil change and opted for the star service. While I was there, the mechanic asked me to come out to the garage to take a look at a few things on my '97 Saturn. In addition to showing me the filthy air filter and recommending a replacement which I got, he also pointed out some issues with the car that needed my attention including a recommendation to flush the coolant, power steering and transmission. \r \r Although I didn't get any of those flush n fill services, I mention them because while they recommended them, there was absolutely no pressure involved and that's something I can truly appreciate. I simply got the oil change and air filter and was on my way rather quickly without a hassle.\r \r Will definitely be going back to get both mine and my wife's cars serviced in the future. more

I went in not sure what to expect from other negative reviews but hoping for the best. The work was done fast and better than expected! I did not get a list of unneeded services and I was not pressured into anything I didn't ask for. They did what I asked and when they were done I felt the difference in my vehicle! I had a cooling system flush and Transmission drain and refill. It was done perfect! If you need good service and quality work done don't hesitate to get it done with them! more

Whenever I visit Hilltop Texaco for an oil change, I receive an oil change. Just an oil change, and then I'm gone. When my wife visits Hill Top Texaco she is pressed for a transmission flush ($70), and electrical system inspection ($25), Power Steering flush ($46), Brake Fluid flush ($56), a Coolant flush ($56). I think she is being preyed upon. Perhaps you disagree? We will never be back. more

I HAD MY BRAKES CHECKED AT THAT BIG FANCY TIRE STORE ON HIGHWAY 20. I WAS TOLD ALL I NEEDED WAS FRONT BRAKES. AFTER THE REPAIR EVERY TIME I STOPED BY BRAKES GRABED, MY ABS LIGHT CAME ON, & I COULD HEAR SOME SCRAPING... I WENT BACK TWICE & WAS TOLD THEY FOUND NO PROBLEMS... A FRIEND TOLD ME TO GO TO HILLTOP ON MIDWAY.. THEY FOUND A BUNCH OF GREASE AROUND BY FRONT BRAKE ABS SENSOR, A SIMPLE WIPE DOWN & THE LIGHTS OFF.. MY REAR BRAKES WERE METAL ON METAL SCRAPING INTO MY DRUMS.. A MAJOR SAFTEY ISSUE... HILLTOP REPAIRED MY REAR BRAKES & ALSO FOUND MY BATTERY TERMINAL THAT WAS REPLACED ELSEWHERE WAS VERY LOOSE...THERE PRICES ARE GREAT & CAR KNOWLEDGE PUT ME BACK ON THE ROAD... more

i use to take my vehicle to hilltop until we got orders to virgina.. its really hard to find a honest auto shop.. or shall i say a shop that my husband trusts while he is gone. we have been here in virgina for a little over a year and have yet to find a comfortable place to take our cars.. THANK YOU TO HILLTOP!!! wish you had a shop accross the states. more

I do not take my vehicles to any other shop but Hilltop Texaco Express Lube & Service Center in Oak Harbor, WA. My whole family and I have always been pleased with their work and with their integrity as a business and part of our community. more

please do yourselves a favor and go to a real mechanic shop if you guys have something major. just base from experience i brought my car to them with only a bad water pump nothing else and it came back to me all messed up. like it wont even stay on idle. they came up with another problem regarding a valve but what it is, is that they messed up my timing and that was from other mechanics beliefs, and the way they treat your car is not really good they dont care about the cleanliness of the interior and some other stuf that they remove that they dont even bother to put back. correctly and when i finally took my car back they said its ok to drive it, my buddy told me if i continued driving it ,it would have put me in a big trouble, this is a true experience so be the judge Cons: plese more

We went to go get our oil changed last week with a coupon which was a good price. But then they said we needed a break flush, power steering flush, trans d&r, and coolant flush and with oil change it cost us around $250. The car is working better, so we are happy with that but the labor was over $150 and later i was told we got totally ripped off. NOT happy with the labor costs. But it does run better so okay, but then they said our breaks need work. According to them our front breaks our 20% gone and our rotors are shot. I knew our brakes are well worn but was a bit confused cause I don't hear our breaks nor do i feel a shake in them. so i had my friend look at them and thank heavens i did. My rotors only need to be re worked and the pads are low but don't need to be replaced yet. To do them my self, which i can with some help from the auto hobbie shop, will cost around $35 with my rotors being re worked and buying break cleaner. Plus all the locals i have talked to since says they would NEVER go to them. Apparently they have a bad rep. for ripping ppl off. Pros: the people are very friendly Cons: priced way to high, and not honest with the work more

I am actually responding to the review on here. I am a employee at Hilltop Texaco. I remember this incident perfectly and we warrantied his brakes out for FREE. Our computer did crash and we do recomend keeping your paper work. We are here to help our customers not to take advantage of them. This guy was angry at the begining and completley unreasonable. After us completly warranting out his brakes with NO PAPER work he still gave us a bad review.. more

Unfortunate for me I have been taking both of my cars to Hill Top Texeco and every time that I'm told that the job is completed a few months or days may pass and the problem returns. I took my van into Hill Top for brakes service and purchase the life time warranty but within less than a year my brakes are worse than they were before I had them repaired at Hill Top Service Center. I lost my receipt and they told me that they coulodn't help because I didn't have a receipt So, I asked do you have a copy in the computer and they should have a copy for tax purpose and the manager told me that the computer crashed six months ago and they don;t have any information in the system on my vehicle that I gave them over three hundred dollars to repair because the computer crash ,I guess it's my fault that your computer crash and lost my information or maybe it was never in the system at all. So ,after a few minutes of arguing back and forward with the mamger he said just drop it off and we'll see what we can do . Now ,I don;t know about you but when I spend over three hundred plus dollars on brakes that I can't afford because my kids need food in their belly so they will not go to bed hungry , I don't want to hear some one say that "" we will see what we can do"". If the owner reads this I suggest that you have some serious customer service training and repair training like certified mechanics. Hill Top is a loss suit waiting to happen. more
