MoMo's was a recommendation as an institution in the area. I'm certain the vibe is quite different on game-nights than regular nights. We ordered a simple meal but James outdid Er...

WOW!! THE BEST RESTAURANT EVER!!! 10/9/2004

I had the most otherwordly dining experience tonight! I ordered the iceberg salad to start and it was wonderful! We also ordered the polenta, calamari, and flatbread appetizers. My entree, the Veal Chop was breathtaking. It looked as great as it tasted! For dessert we shared the creme brulee, strawberry pineapple sorbet, and cookies. The cookies were warm and delicious, the brulee was flawless, and the sorbet had great flavor. On top of all of this, the service was impeccable!!! After dinner, we went over to the bar and had some drinks. The bar is a great social scene and happy hour is pretty cool from what I hear. So if you want to enjoy a great evening out, run, don't walk, to Momo's! Pros: Great Food, Great People, Great Atmosphere more

Mo Chicken potpie, please! 10/18/2003

Stopped in for a quiet lunch (no ballgame) inside, the dining room is quite large, understated but stylish. Started of with a portabello/cheese polenta appetizer, decent. Then moved on to a large chicken potpie, topped with a flaky, buttery crust, tasty! We passed on dessert, the tab came out to about $70 with two drinks a piece. Service was personable and very good. A nice spot for a bite to eat near the ballpark when you don't have any other choices... Pros: Near Ballpark Cons: A Little Pricey more

Great for a Lunch Date 7/22/2003

I was suprised to find a wait on a Thursday for lunch when there was no ballgame across the street. The atmosphere is great for a date, though I found lunch a little on the pricey side (80 dollars for two). We had reasonable service and the food was modestly presented and fresh. The best aspect of the resturant by far is the atmosphere - its quite social and hip. Pros: atmosphere, food, people watching Cons: price more

Service? What Service? 5/15/2003

Dinner 5/10/03 Our server consistently brought drinks only after we asked three times with a minimum 30 minute wait, and then brought the wrong drink. She even brought my boyfriend's beer AFTER the meal was over and the plates cleared! So, we gave her a 15% tip. She brought it back to us and told us our math was wrong. We counted it and left it on the table. We left and, would you believe, she came after us? We went through the bill and cash with her outside. She responded, ""oh, I didn't realize you gave me a $40 tip,"" and stomped back into the restaurant. If you're looking for restaurant with the kind of service Momo's used to have - you'd best look elsewhere. On the other hand if you'd like a bad attitude served with your meal instead of a drink, you'll be perfectly happy with Momo's. Cons: Service, Service, Service more

TERRIBLE SATURDAY AFTERNOON 2/23/2003

I have eaten at MOMO's several times. More for the outdoor seating than any other reason. My boyfriend and I sat for 45 minutes or more before finally getting our food. By that time my boyfriend's eggs looked as if they had been sitting under a heat lamp for 20 min. When my BF went to complain to the manager he was defensive and not helpful-rather he offered inane excuses. We ultimately got up and left after an extremely unprofessional confrontation with the general manager. I will never return to this place. Pros: outdoor seating, dog friendly Cons: poor management, unprofessional, service more

smallish portions 9/9/2002

I went here for brunch and left kind of hungry. My food (french toast stuffed with bananas) was fine, i just wish it had been twice the size. Our server was very polite, but, the crowd (SF giants fans, Marina folks) didn't impress me too much. Next time, I'll get a regular entree. more

Give me Comfort!! 7/30/2002

I have dined at Momo's several times...with lovers, friends and family members, I have always found it most enjoyable, the wait staff is fairly attentive and will always try to accomodate a request for something that is not necessarily on the menu...the desserts are so-so, they used to have some very good ones but did away with them for unknown reasons...the bartenders are really cute and nice! My fav is the Braised short ribs with a side of sauteed spinach...yum! Even though reservations are recommended I have always been seated almost immediately..thats a plus! Pros: decent parking, atmosphere, excellent food more
