MoMo's was a recommendation as an institution in the area. I'm certain the vibe is quite different on game-nights than regular nights. We ordered a simple meal but James outdid Er...

Excellent food, avoid sitting near the bar during Giants games! 12/17/2006

I had a great date night at Momo's. The waitstaff was extremely attentive and the food was amazing. I had A1 Crusted Meatloaf that was (gasp) better than my mother's. My date's dish came with incredible garlic mashed potatoes and I have to say I think I ate more of them than he did. Overall a great experience and a great atmosphere, but be warned that the bar area seems to get very crowded and loud right before Giants games. If you're looking for a nice place to take a date in the off-season, or want to class up your tailgate and sit down to a great meal before a game, Momo's is definitely the place. Pros: Great food, attentive waitstaff Cons: Loud pre-game crowd more

Fabulous 12/6/2006

Had a wonderful time here for dinner with friends. The atmosphere is elegant, but fairly casual. Plenty of room for large parties in big booths that seem to seat 7 or two private to semi-private rooms. There are also a row of 2 seater banquettes perfect for a little face to face with your sweetie. The hostess was welcoming and our server helped make the experience delightful with excellent recommendations and a thorough knowledge of wines and specials, very friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. more

Great selection of salads and sandwiches at lunch (which I?ve had before), but their entrees really stand out. The potroast seemed like it had been slow cooked for hours and had a great homemade flavor. The Gumbo, while not quite authentic, was full of fresh tasting seafood and sausage. We also tried the 16oz Ribeye with an AMAZING twice baked potato umm umm umm and the Sea Scallops with asparagus risotto that was cooked to perfection. Dessert consisted of an OH MY GOD pumpkin pie, sinful chocolate torte and warm cookies. All the comforts of home with extra pizzazz and quality served in a way that, overall, makes you feel decadent and satisfied. The separate bar area has quite a different tempo and is conducive to sports enthusiasts and cocktailers alike. I can see why this place is so popular during baseball season. Despite it?s proximity to the park, it really is a great hang out spot. Going back tomorrow for happy hour! (Mon-Fri 4pm-7pm) more

Nice environment! Good drinks and good value. Went after a Giants game, the bar was very busy but just added another element to the scene. Nice outdoor area, with a limited bar and everything else that you could want is served inside. Fun place to go after a game, right across the street from SBC Park. Pros: Ambience Cons: A little crowded more

Nice, fun atmosphere! 5/4/2006

My experience at Momo's was fun. However, this place can get very busy on a Friday night, especially after a ball game and so the service can be sloooooow. Be sure to make reservations. The food was good; there's a good variety and the portions are very fair, but still a little too pricey for good/average food. Parking is pretty tough, but you can usually park a bit farther and walk. Pros: fun atmosphere, portion size Cons: parking, slow service more

Fancy All-American Food 3/17/2006

I went here recently with my coworkers for dinner. It wasn't bad at all and everyone enjoyed their dinner. I wanted a light dinner so shared a tasty but pricey calamari and ordered the mango salad and carpacio for my meal. The mango salad was tasty and carpaccio was average. The entree items actually didn't appeal to me b/c they seem way too heavy and seem pricey for something like meatloaf or pork chop. I expected the ambience to be more bar restaurant like. But it turned out to be more business casual dining. If I were you, I would go to other places first. Oh, our server was extremely slow... Pros: ambience, ballpark Cons: slow service, expensive for value more

Small portions! Overpriced! 7/2/2005

On an empty Saturday afternoon, my boyfriend ordered a burger and beer and I a Greek salad and ice tea. His burger was an fine but I was SHOCKED by the size of my salad which was literally less than a cup of salad with three small slices of pita (I saw at another table that the chicken-apple salad was a good size). I felt jipped, hungry and disappointed that the waitress didn't inform me of the size. I go out to eat a lot and I've never seen such a small salad. In addition, we spent most of the meal trying to track someone down for ketchup, and our bill pretip was $30. The only plus I have is that the small portion I did eat was tasty, but I would never go back. Such a rip off! Pros: Tasty, Outdoor seating Cons: Overpriced, Slow service, Small portions more

Went with my girlfriend on Valentine's weekend. For starters, we orderd the Dungeness Crab cake and Baked oysters which were both tasty. Mahi Mahi Entree was a little dry but the Veal was tender. Chocolate Brioche Banana Bread Pudding was good but the Apple Raisin Crisp w/ vanilla ice-cream was too sweet for my taste buds. The waitress did check on us a few times and the bus-boy were very efficient at removing empty plates and adding water. Not sure how crazy the place gets on game days but there were ample street parking on the Sat nite we went. Tab came out to be $140 (with tips) for two. We had a good time there. more
