I finally got around to taking my 10-year-old car here for detailing. The sales associate even convinced me to add on waxing for an additional $15. The total came to over $100. The wait was two hours. There's no TV in the waiting room and few magazines.
It took a long time, but the car looked good when the wait was over. The guy who washed it told me as I was leaving to leave my windows open over night ""because the seats are wet."" That's all he said. When I drove home the seats were so wet, they completely soaked my clothes.
My yard is full of wasps, and I didn't realize the importance of leaving the windows open, so I didn't. The next day, I realized that the material on the roof of the car interior was ruined, hanging down unattached off the sun roof area, and buckling everywhere else.
I brought it back to Mister Car Wash, and was honest that I hadn't left the windows open because I didn't realize what would happen (because I wasn't informed.) And I didn't realize the seats would be so wet I couldn't drive it after the service.
I thought they would offer me some sort of compensation, considering how much it cost and how much it will likely cost to fix. But I guess they don't care if I return, which, of course, I never will.
Maybe they're OK for a $5 car wash, but I wouldn't recommend spending more money there than that.
