GREAT DOG MEMORIES 10/20/2011

My dogs had never been to a dog boarding facility and were scarred upon arriving however once I dragged them in they soon adapted. I called periodically thru the dog, the staff was awesome and treated me tenderly as they knew I was having anxities over leaving them. I visited them the first evening and they were in the doggie run, upon seeing me they ran like a pack of wolves to me offering kisses galore. They soon became distracted by all of the dog scents and didn't even know I was there. I left and called the 2nd day to find they were okay. I plan on using this facility again as I trust them. more

think twice before you leave your babies here. 8/14/2008

Toured mission gates facility and was sold solely on the location and cleanliness. Few days later when I dropped my dog off, the staff was very in personable. Customer service needs to be re-evaluated. We pet owner?s need to feel comfortable with the people we are entrusting our kids (pets) with. A simple hello can go a long way. No hello, no sympathy. Lets just say that I left my dog there feeling very uneasy, and since I had a flight to catch, I really had no choice. I had specific directions for feeding and the staff member didn't write it down, so I doubt that my directions were followed. I paid for extra exercise service for everyday he was left, which I question they actually did. I mean, there is no way of me knowing. A ""no-bark"" zone is not a place for a kennel where dogs are expected to bark. What I didn't realize prior to dropping him off is that they use bark collars to stop them from barking?? Isn?t this a kennel, and don't dogs bark? Sad to say, they did use a bark collar on my dog, which surprises me since he's not much of a barker, but may follow lead of other barkers. Does that mean, all the dogs were wearing a bark collar? When I picked him up, I noticed that he lost a few pounds. Being still a puppy, he is still not use to riding in a car. On our way home about noonish, he started getting sick and tried to v0mit, but there was nothing in his stomach to v0mit. How long did he go w/o eating? This is no place for your dog. Cons: EVERYTHING more

Beware 2/8/2008

When we picked up our dog she had two large infected wounds on her neck. This Kennel used an electric bark collar on her because she barked and they apparently are located in a ""no barking"" zone! Who would have imagined a dog would not be allowed to bark in a kennel. This facility felt justified in abusing an animal and paying vet bills rather than paying the more expensive city fine. It was traumatic to find our dog in such a condition and to think we had left her with people who cared so little about her welfare. She also lost five pounds in during her 10 day stay and was filthy when we got her back. more
