Miss Chrissy's Plus Size

I have been dealing with Miss Chrissy's, both at her West Broad St. location and at her Grove City location for a little over 4 years now. I have always found Chrissy and her family to be helpful and courteous; even remembering little things like an illness in my family. I have both bought and sold things at her shop and could not have been more pleased with how the transactions were conducted. more

I have been in the Grove City Miss Chrissy's store several times over the summer. I had clothes that I wanted to put on consignment and for that reason, I stopped by the store a couple of times to see how everything worked. I was always greeted very pleasantly and help was offered. When I was ready to bring my clothes in, I called and made an appointment as they had suggested earlier. I had approximately 20-25 items and Miss Chrissy went through them thoroughly and gave me great prices. I look forward to returning to the store and shopping. The first time I ever went into Miss Chrissy's I was rather embarrassed. Being a plus size teen isn't the best thing to have to deal with but ask soon as I walked it I was greeted with a smile and great customer service. Miss Chrissy herself helped me find somethings that looks GREAT on me and it was all for a reasonably low price for second hand clothing. She doesn't except anything less the band-new looking. I've returned to her store many times and have never been let down. Pros: You will always find smiles more

This was my first time trying to sell to a consignment shop in many years. Unfortunately, I started at Miss Chrissy's shop first. I didn't realize that one needs to make appointments to have the owner look at your clothes you're selling. * * * * * When I lugged in my arm full of dresses to Miss Chrissy's, there was one customer in the store, and Miss Chrissy was sitting at her counter, reading. When I told her that I didn't realize I needed an appointment, she offered to schedule an appointment. I really didn't want to lug this stuff back to the van, only to return another day, lugging it back in. * * * * * *I asked if she could look at it now, and she refused, even though she clearly was not busy! She insisted that this is by appointment only. She should have offered to look at my stuff (takes what, 3 minutes to look at 8 or 9 dresses?) and then requested that the next time I call to schedule... which would have been reasonable and accommodating. * * * * * Needless to say, I left her store, found another consignment shop, who graciously looked at my dresses. * * * * * * I ended up spending close to $100.00 at the CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED store.
