Mirasol is in the new section of the loop, by the Pageant. It's great to sit outside and enjoy Mojito's or Prickly Pear Margarita's. I went last night with 7 people and everyone was very impressed. This was my second time and I enjoyed it equally as well as the first. The menu is I believe described as Nuevo Latino Cuisine. We had Lobster Cerviche, Meatballs in a delicious sauce. Speaking of sauces.. the mango sauce that sits on the table is outstanding... has quite a kick to it. We put it on our crab empanadas and on the tortillas that we filled with goat cheese and chunks of beef. We also had a trio of plantain topped shredded pork, beans and chicken salad. We ordered one salad and there was plenty for 4 of us to share. I was also told by one of my coffee loving friends that the coffee is a must. Ham and cheese croquets, black beans on plantain(from the frio menu)and shrimp kabobs in a spicy sauce rounded out our meal. They bring the dishes out as they are ready which is nice because you get to sample things and then remove them from the table and try the next. Big thumbs up from all. No room for dessert... and reservations are suggested.
