Editorial review from Citysearch 4/30/2013

I found this place by accident when I was searching for a Brooklyn restaurant that takes reservations (most don’t), has “normal” food (not “nouveau” stuff like “bull’s blood”), and doesn’t cost a Manhattan fortune. We went with another couple and all four of us were delightfully surprised. The food was superb; two of us had the special house pasta and we agreed it was superior to all the similar pastas we’ve eaten in the past few years. They have a huge wine list, and they give you as much as you want of two kinds of bread and two kinds of focaccia. The owner came over several times to make sure everything was fine, and even though it was a Saturday night and packed, neither he nor our waitress rushed us. In fact, we were there for two hours lingering over all the desserts we ordered. We will definitely go back. Often! more

Every time I'm in from Chicago... 8/30/2010

... I make sure to make at LEAST one visit to Miranda. The pastas are ridiculously good for the prices, and so are the desserts. I love the way the menu is grounded on some never-changing staples, but rounded out with enough rotating specials to keep it always lively -- you can go in looking for one of your own standbys, or else in a 'let's see what they've got tonight' mood, and either way always be satisfied. more

Looking for mind blowing food in Brooklyn? Miranda has it 8/11/2010

Miranda Restaurant has what fine dining rarely brings to the table, a relaxed and warm atmosphere. The food is impeccably presented with great wines from europe and south america to compliment any dish you pick from. I recommend their pasta dishes that are all made in house daily! The service is excellent. Bring you're whole family, your best friends, your first dates, there's something for every person to enjoy no matter what your taste buds may prefer! Overall, just an amazing restaurant. more

Ameizing Place 2/5/2010

MOST TRY the fresh pastas they are deliciosas and the best part is that they have a $25 pri fix menu and the chef she makes sure you try some of them by listing them in the pri-fix menu and I found that the wine list is very good for Williamsburg whit most of the bottles under $45 The service was also notably above average the staff are friendly so this place is a most TRY. Pros: Best hand made pastas more

Amazing unique food, great atmosphere and service 10/31/2009

I love this place! This was my third time there! The first time we ate there I was a little skeptical of the Mexican/Italian combo but the place was so cute that I couldn't pass it up. But they totally delivered. They combine the two kinds of food amazingly. Last night I got a prix fixe for $25! Appetizer, entree and dessert! I got a delicious butternut squash soup, then the gnocchi (with amazing flavors including cotija cheese), then the warm chocolate cake with vanilla gelato and dulce de leche! MMMM! My friends all enjoyed their meals just as much. (My boyfriend had an amaaazing churasco.) I am not one to write about the service at a restaurant unless it's really good or really bad... But the waiters, bus boys, and owner at this place are SOO sweet that that alone makes you want to come back. Between the service, the delicious food and the rustic, elegant atmosphere, you should definitely check it out... Pros: unique combo of food more

Great Food&Service, No Waits, Good for having a conversation 3/3/2009

The food here is consistently delicious and well prepared. For appetizers, I've had the homemade pasta, which is prepared differently depending on the menu and season and an empanada with greens, raisins, and cheese. I've always ordered whatever fish is on the menu, which is prepared with seasonable vegetables (most recently kale and a vegetable and lentil mix) and is always perfectly seasoned and cooked. The amount of food always leaves me feeling full but not overly stuffed. The service is extremely professional, attentive, and friendly. I also really like that there has never been a wait (the restaurant is never empty, but it's never packed) and that it is a good place to go if you want good food and to talk to your dinner companions. Pros: great food and service, good for talking more

A Perfect Restaurant in Williamsburg 12/10/2008

We have come here several times and each time we tried something new and it has exceeded our expectations. The owner greets us immediately and he is kind and patient. The food is outstanding and the wine list is very good and reasonable priced. The setting is cozy and intimate and the value of the food is ideal! I highly recommend coming here. It is well worth anyone's time and money. Pros: unique menu, friendly staff Cons: bread is good, not great more
