Mirador & Stovall At River City Apartments

It seems really nice, and it is one of the most expensive places around here, so one would think that you are paying for all those extra benefits. Don't get me wrong the location is awesome! perfect and easy access to everything. But you pay extra for the gated community, but the gate is always broken. You pay extra because there is a pool, but it is always getting worked on, you pay extra for cleanliness, but in my case they left a huge hole with wires sticking out and told me it would take months to fill it up. Its been almost a year and I have to watch my step when I walk but since its in the back where new people cant see then they don't care. You pay for 24 hr maintenance but when we had our smoke detector going crazy with high ceilings they just couldn't find anyone to help. They ask if they can enter your home without or with an appointment. We say with appointment because we have a huge dog but then they leave letters in your day saying it could be any of 3 days at any time and cant give a solid time so you sit around waiting or have to board your dog. To top it off you have to pay for trash valet, whether you want to use it or not and then they automatically fine you $25 if your trash is outside longer then there little block of time they give you and only during the week, because no one has trash on the weekends apparently. So stupid and they do not care at all about you. Every single neighbor I talk to are trying to get out as soon as there lease ends. more

My experience at Stovall at River City has to be one of the poorest experiences I've encountered with Apartment Communities. Appearances can be misleading as it is a beautiful community from the outside. I had a situation while living there, where I was broken into while I was at home. The intruder broke in with a key to apartment and stole thousands of dollars in cash and personal belongings including sentimental items that I will never get back. I am a single young man who just finished college and was living on my own when this transpired. I turned to management for help in this situation but was not greeted in a manner I felt was appropiate. I advised of the situation and asked if their was any security feeds from the surviellance equipment that we could turn over to the police. They said their systems were down at the time of break-in and that they would get back with me the next day. Upon that next day they advised that they were unable to retrieve any surviellance feeds for the police. Obviously this sounded suspicious as the intruder got in with a key. As one could relate I never felt safe there again, I began residing there less and less and the manager there by the name of Mike Wells seemed to care less about addressing the situation and assisting me. I personally would never reccommend anyone living there despite its beauty and fair pricing. I'd much rather pay more and secure my belongings and safety then to have to sleep with a pistol under my pillow at night more
