Fun for watching baseball! 11/17/2005

I went to Minute Maid Park with my co-workers from work. The seats were $8 seats and weren't that bad. Sometimes, if there are empty seats, you can just move down a few (or more) rows and nobody cares. The food is good (but pricey which is average) and the fans are great. It's really fun cheering for the Astros even if you don't know anything about baseball (me). I really like the train that has all the oranges in it although, my cousin (not from Texas) thinks it's weird. more

baseball park 10/25/2005

it is a really nice place. it has a retractable roof for sunny or rainy days. although it does get rather hot on some days when the roof is open. prices for refreshments are somewhat high though. the parking is not that great either. but all in all it makes for a great day out for baseball. so be sure to take the whole family. more

Go Stros! 8/21/2005

The Astros ball club has brought many memories and delightful games to our humble city of Houston. From the 8th Wonder of the World, The Astrodome, to the name changer, Minute Maid Park, the Astros have entertained and enraged their fans quite routinely. We have won many pen ants, yet no World Series. The current field looks great. I love the collapsible roof and the Crawford Boxes. more

Check out the strange ballpark 8/16/2005

For some idiosynchrosies not found anywhere else, you can check out Minute Maid Park. For some reason, they decided to put a hill in centerfield. This is to get the centerfield extra workout to catch that fly ball. To make his job a little bit more difficult, they have a flag pole at the top of the hill. Another interesting tidbit is the train engine sitting on some tracks on top of the left field wall. Whoever an Astro hits a homer, you'll hear it from the engine as it goes streaking across the top of left field wall. Oh yeah, the baseball is pretty good too as the Astros manage to always make things interesting in recent years. The fans are friendly too. You can root for the visiting team without much consequence. more

Astros under the stars 8/10/2005

Minute Maid field is one of the best venues in baseball. The retractable roof allows you to enjoy the sunshine on a clear day, or a rain-free outing when it is raining outside. The park is logically arranged and I have never had a bad seat - even when you are in the upper deck the views are great! There are usually $5 tickets available the day of the game, so head out and cheer for the home team! The best ballpark food is the supreme nachos - just make sure you grab a fork! more

Houston Astros 8/5/2005

Watching the Houston Astros play live is unbelievable. While it would be better if they were in first place, you can not complain when you can go to a game and watch Roger Clemems, a future Hall of Famer, pitch. In addition, the Killer Bees, Biggio, Bagwell and Berkman, are just as fun to watch. The seats are cheap, the beer is cold, and the hot dogs taste great. Definitely a place to take the family. more

This is my all-time favorite baseball team 8/5/2005

What can I say about the Astros? They're great! They are my all-time favorite baseball team. The players are very nice not to mention very talented at what they do. Minute Maid Park is absolutely beautiful. There is no bad seat in the entire park. If you are looking for a night of entertainment, check out a game sometime! You won't be sorry. more
