We replaced all our windows with Pinnacle Lindsay replacement windows through Minnesota Exteriors. This was a large investment to do all the windows but it came out much better compared to other companies and installers out there. The two installers arrived on-time each day and completed the work quickly and professionally. They were VERY experienced and cleaned up after themselves as well. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone. If you are looking at some of those large companies out there selling their own windows, take a look at Minnesota Exteriors. They have a large selection of windows of better quality and at a lower price. You'll get an unbiased opinion, not sold on a single brand of windows. For us we went with the Pinnacle Lindsay Windows which are made here in Minnesota. I would highly recommend Minnesota Exteriors for your replacement windows - they know their stuff! more

We have used MEI for multiple renovations. This time around we were able to get our roof done. They provided excellent customer service and presented us with the lowest rates in town and even treated us to a gift for being a repeat customer. We recently purchased a home that has original windows (the house was built in the early 90's) and they are deteriorating and showing signs of rot. We will have to replace all of the windows in the home. We are planning to spread this project over the course of 3 years. MEI did the first round of window replacements for us this summer. Everything went very smoothly. They have a big showroom and that was very nice because it allowed us to see all of the different window options side by side. We decided to go with Lindsay/Pinnacle windows and also one Weather shield window. We probably would have done all Lindsay windows, but Weathershield had a finish that was a better match for the trim finishes in our basement. We decided to go with Lindsay mostly because of the lifetime transferable warranty, quality, and also the fact that they are a local company. We found MEI through Ryan at My 3 Quotes (his service is awesome to help find the lowest cost contractors for window replacement and he manages the project for you from beginning to end; www.getmy3quotes.com) and we were pleased with their responsiveness and professionalism. They also have a lifetime warranty on their labor! We plan to use them next year for "phase two" of replacing our additional windows. Windows are a (shockingly) huge expense and I did a LOT of research to find the best quality for our money and i feel that we got a great value from MEI. more

I had this company install 11 windows. They were efficient (it took them from 7 am to 3pm), which was nice because it really minimized the disruption to our house. They did a great job and seemed knowledgable and courteous. I'm happy with the results, and the city inspector said everything looked great. I'd use them again. more

Last summer I started the search for contractors to replace my roof, siding, and fascia. I'm a single female, work full time and try to educate myself in advance to make the best possible decision. My three estimates were received and MN Exteriors was in the mid-range. Their SHOWROOM – was a hit with me – no more looking at small little sample pieces and hoping you make the right decision. You don’t have to worry about that with MN Exteriors…with the showroom and their warehouse you can easily get a great idea of what the final outcome will look like. They were there to help or let me wander and look at all types of options. The computer software layout was a big plus too - enabling me to see different siding with different roofs using the photo of my actual home. When the work itself was done, I was also very satisfied. The installers made it a point to see when I would be home in case I had questions and were thorough in making sure what I agreed to was actually what they were doing. There were also some small things that they pointed out to make sure I would be happy with the end result – greatly appreciated this as I made some small tweaks that really made a difference to me, the homeowner. I had a wonderful experience with Juan and his team.They were professional, thorough, and got the work done in a day.They also took the time to show me some issues with my roof that needed attention and they took care of it for me. I will be calling them for future work on my home. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is that customer service was GOOD but easily could have been made EXCELLENT with response to emails being improved. more

During our recent old fashioned winter we determined that the gentle draft blowing through our house should no longer be ignored. I contacted several contractors to replace the windows and siding on our 63 year old house in St. Paul. MEI won our work with their professionalism, honesty and warrantee. We had Minnesota Exteriors reside our house with steel siding along with some gutter/downspout work and are very pleased with all aspects of the job. Being in the trades myself, I am extremely particular about choosing someone to work on my own home. From start to finish MEI followed through on everything they committed to. The installers (Ben & Mark) were very professional & courteous and did an impeccable job in every detail, including a thorough cleanup and contact with Lorna in the home office was smooth throughout. Member Comments: I bid this job out for over a year and called all the big players in the area and also some smaller companies. My house is about 20 square of siding and the estimates were all over the place. The top estimate was over $50k with a lot of bids coming back in the 40s. I think some companies throw out huge numbers just to see how dumb/rich you are. So when the sales guy, Dan, came out I was already jaded by the whole process. I told him what I was looking for and that I had a number in my head what I thought it should cost. He didn't try any hard sell tactics and out of everyone I talked to he seemed the most interested in getting the job and working with me to get to a reasonable price. I will say he definitely earned his money on this job. We went back and forth for about a year and he ran through many different scenarios to keep the price on budget. It probably bordered on ridiculous how many quotes he sent me but through the whole time he remained professional and didn't seem bothered by all the hoops he was going through to get the job. He even asked me to get other bids and reviewed them with me pointing out things he thought the other guys missed, showing how their low price was too good to be true. The MEI salesperson was not only courteous, helpful and not the hard-sell type, he was the only one who pointed out I had hail damage. He put extra effort into making me happy. MEI recently replaced the siding on our home after a storm. The staff were very efficient and professional. They were there when they said they would be. They cleaned up the work area everyday before they left. We were concerned about a storm that was supposed to happen overnight and they came back to make sure the house was protected so that we would not worry. I recently had my siding, fascia,soffits and gutters replaced by MEI. They did a wonderful job. The end result looks great. I was pleased with how quickly they had gotten it done. My neighbor used some one else to reside his home and it took like 3 weeks and the max 2 people were working at a time. There was usually 5 + people on my job always and they even came and worked on saturday to get the job done sooner. When they reinstalled the outdoor light fixtures 2 would not work and they came out the next day and fixed them, one they could the other they didn't, but had an electrician out the next day and had it fixed in no time.
