Actually, a 1-Star rating is only given because there's no ZERO-star. I bought 3# of goldfish that they put in ONE bag in a tiny box. They started to die half way home and dropped...

I wish i could give a zero unfortunately this is not optional. In short the owner is very rude and does not know her inventory. After asking her clerk for a specific rod he walked off to get bait for another customer. I then asked the store manager for the same rod and she was reluctant to show me where the rod was all she kept saying is we have 1. After I asked her to show me the rod she tried to pass off a rod that wasn't even close to the given description and was very rude the whole time. Again I had to point out to her the fact that I was wanting a heavy action rod while the whole time she was showing me a medium heavy rod and telling me it was what I was asking for. I explained that I have been coming in for years and very rudely she said "so have I' I told her that I knew she was treating me with rudeness and disrespect and she pointed toward the front door with a gesture to leave. Clearly this store owner is in business for the money without her customers being first. I went straight to Cabela's afterward and was treated with dignity and respect. I will never step foot into Minnesota Bait and Tackle again. Jim Gochenour Kansas City, Kansas more

I have been buying my bait from minnesota for 30 years and never have had a complaint, matter of fact gonna get some crappie minnows there in the morning to go fishing-I cant imagine the lady got that many goldfish in one bag unless it had oxygen put in it,in which case they would have lived easy-either she got a hole in the bag or was too cheap to pay for the oxy bag. Actually, a 1-Star rating is only given because there's no ZERO-star. I bought 3# of goldfish that they put in ONE bag in a tiny box. They started to die half way home and dropped like flies until NONE was alive. I relied on them to be the experts and I did everything I could to save them so I could deliver them to a man that takes daily radiation at the same place as my husband. He wanted them to take them back to his home this weekend to go fishing. He stays at The Treehouse in Liberty during the week. He bought some from them before and they put the 3# of goldfish in THREE different bags. He said they should never have put them in ONE bag........and doing research after-the-fact, I see that is true if going the distance I told them i was going. He told me to call and ask for a refund, which I did. They DO NOT stand behind their ""product"" and refused a refund. To add fuel to the fire, they said I must have hauled them in the back of a pickup! I don't even own a pickup.....I brought them back in an air-conditioned car, put them in a treated tank to give them more oxygen, but it was too late. They wanted SOOOOO much to try to find a reason it was MY FAULT....which they didn't, but still refused a refund. In fact, Eric, (guess he's the owner??) got on the phone and actually accused me of lying, when I said they were ALL at the top, gasping for air, within an hour! Wonder what his excuse is for the dead fish in ALL their tanks?? A little over $27.00 and the gas to go there and back.........lesson learned. They said they only guarantee the fish are alive when they LEAVE the store. And, to think, I was only trying to take goldfish to a man with cancer, for his pleasure of fishing!!! more
