Great Sushi-a real find in Baltimore City. 7/23/2007

I have been going to this restaurant for about 4 weeks now, about once a week, and it is great. The chefs are nice, the place is always packed, and the food is delicious. It is hard to find a good sushi restaurant in Baltimore city, but I really like the atmosphere so much better at Minato than at the sushi restaurants in Federal Hill. brand new location - stunning, friendly, stylish and delicious! 6/5/2007

I was so pleased to find out that Minato moved next door to me on Charles between Eager and Chase. The new location is absolutely beautiful - definitely the new hot spot in Mount Vernon. The owners and staff are so friendly they make everyone feel at home! For such a classy looking place it has a family feel and the food is amazing. Five Stars! I was never a person to eat out at a ""real"" restaurant. Does the napkin go in your shirt, aorund your neck, on your lap. I didn't want to make a fool of myself by pretending to know what I was doing so I settled for Interstate ""restaurants"", seeing that i amd 5 mins away from 95. more

Someone wrote Minato is not Japanese at all. I say it's Japanese enough. Japanese is not spoken and guests dont on tatami. But the Food is Japanese enough to a very discriminating tongue and the atmosphere is better than Japanese. Lets be fair! Pros: Alex Cons: parking more

It was ok, but not authentic 2/20/2004

Is it too much to look for an authentic Japanese restaurant in Baltimore? I don't know, but I wouldn't recommend people to go to this restaurant, if you're looking for something authentic. The atmosphere was ok and the food was all right, but it's just not Japanese at all. Pros: prompt service, good atmosphere Cons: , not authentic more
