Mimi's is similar to a mom and pops diner. I personally don't like it much compared to other diners. The menu selection is so-so, nothing really fascinating. Also, the portions...

Disappointed on Surf & Turf 8/30/2009

I didn't expect portions to be large with the ""Just the Right Size"" menu items. I did however expect shrimp to be larger than a quarter. With the Surf & Turf you get 4 shrimp grilled on a skewer, and a very small (but adequate) flat steak and small but tasty balsamic vinagar salad. The shrimp were dry because they were so tiny --- these are not meant to be skewered and grilled at this small size. These are salad size shrimp. I would suggest 3 larger shrimp. Just so disappointing because I liked the meal so much but would never order again for that reason. Spires Restaurant gives you 2 skewers with 8 gigantic juicy shrimp (not dry) for $9.99. I would recommend Spires if you are looking for grilled skewered shrimp at a great price. Pros: Taste was so good I yearned for more Cons: Portion size of shrimp - TINY TINY more

pumpkin muffins never outdone 2/6/2007

although having a cheese eating surrender monkey theme Mimi's service is reliable and high quality. Their pumpkin muffins are second to none. An excellent dessert menu awaits you until 11pm -- don't miss the chocolate chip pecan pie. Cuisine is anything but typical ranging from the thai chicken wrap to good old fashioned chicken p0t pie. Pros: high quality ingredients Cons: does not take reservations more
