My daughters lived here for a year. They frequently had trouble with the gate not opening and we were promised one new transmitter the day we signed the lease. That never came. Our real problems came after they moved out. They told my daughters that the move out date was 2 weeks after the lease was up and then wanted to charge them for that time on a month to month rate. The amount they said that we owed was paid (I had co-signed the lease). Months later, I started receiving calls from a collection agency. I had never received a phone call or any mail or emails from Milstead. I contacted them and they told me everything was paid. Collection agency calls continued daily. I contacted them again and again and again. Sometimes they were unable to take my calls but promised to return them. NEVER happened. It has been 4 months of almost daily calls from the collection agency. Faye assured me today that she is working diligently on taking care of this. The collection agency assured me today that this would go on my credit report. They seemed very nice when we toured the facility and signed the lease. At least one person there is beyond incompetent. I STRONGLY advise everyone to keep looking. If you value your credit and your sanity, DO NOT CONSIDER MILSTEAD VILLAGE!!!!!!!!!! more

I thoroughly enjoyed living here for 2 years. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always polite. The grounds were kept extremely clean. Maintenance requests were responded to within 24-48 hours. It was an ideal place until I moved out. Not only did they charge us an absurd amount of fees, but instead of sending me a notice about my balance, they sent me straight to collections. I called and disputed the charges which they changed, but never told collections and I was forced to either pay the amount or have a strike on my credit record. After several phone calls and emails, this issue continued to go unresolved. It was great living there, but certainly not worth the stress and repercussions I am not facing because the staff has proven to be lazy and incompetent. more

horrible 3/25/2011

Biggest mistake moving here. There are college students everywhere and I have had a cockroach problem for several months now. No matter what we do the cockroaches won't go away AND I live in one of the newly renovated apartments. There are parties mostly every night and it makes it so hard to go to bed at a decent hour. DO NOT LIVE HERE if you want peace and quiet and a bug free enviornment. more

DO NOT MOVE HERE 10/29/2008

I've lived in several apartment complexes before and this one takes the cake! It's absolutely HORRIBLE. Not to mention the shady people that are now moving in because they are desperate to rent to ANYONE. When researching complexes, I wanted a nice, gated community. I went to Milstead and they wooed me, telling me the gates would be fixed within 2 WEEKS of my moving in...it's been 8 months. Still no gates. I pay a gated community price, without the gates. They would rather sink their money into making a flowerbed into a water fountain. And they don't take their residents' complaints seriously - after a few incidents that happened on the grounds, in which I reported, I had someone try to get into my apartment at 230 AM...because my boyfriend was there and scared them away, I didn't call the police, instead I went to report it to the office. Know what they told me? NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS, file a police report and they would put it on file. \r \r For your safety & well-being DO NOT MOVE HERE! more

Dont move there!!!! 11/25/2007

This apartment complex is horrible!! The maintnance is a load of crap.. took them a month to come fix one problem and they didnt even fix it.. Bugs are everywhere, roaches and ants... it awful! Needs to be more up to date, carpent needs to be replaced, applicances, everything! Take your money and go somewhere else, dont waste it there! more

HORRIBLE 8/8/2006

Please, please do not under any circumstance move here. I had originally done alot of reserch before I moved here, checking ratings websites and such. all of the "beware" postings were true!! The worst part is the managment. Abby Rosen is simply horrible, rude, lying, and MEAN manager~! For what you pay, its worth to search more or pay a little more for a place that is safe and sanitary. Dog poop everywhere, people partying at the volleyball courts and pool until 2 am. Please run away from this hellhole PROS: CONS: Anything you can imagine more

Awesome floor plans 11/2/2005

Milstead Willage Apartments is a personal favorite. The staff there is so friendly! Great comfortable living in large variety of floor plans. The rates are a bit high but you can room with a friend to lower the cost per person. It is worth the investment! Some rates may be subject to change soon so check it out! more
