Millcreek Gardens

BEWARE. Our original salesperson was very helpful, advised us to keep our receipt and bring it back if anything went wrong during the first year. The cashier never gave us a ""Guarantee"" with our receipt. When we brought the dead tree and our receipt back we were treated like garbage. Steph is the Queen of the cashiers and displays passive aggressive behavior as she storms back and forth from the register to her throne in the next room. She is as friendly as a Honey Badger. We went to Millcreek Gardens intending to buy everything we needed this year for our pots, flower beds, and vegetable garden with a $20.00 off coupon that came in the mail. After the very embarrassing episode at the register we offered the coupon to the next person in line but Steph snatched it from the counter and slid it into her rear pocket. The employee with the silver bob hairdo was a doll and offered an apology, I felt bad that she was involved in a very uncomfortable situation. We left Steph and Millcreek Gardens and spent hundreds of dollars at the competition where we were treated very well and where your receipt is your one year guarantee. I will never shop Millcreek Gardens again. Ever. more

I always loved going to Millcreek Gardens when I lived in Salt Lake City. Their staff always went above and beyond in helping me with my garden and plant needs and their knowledge of plants always impressed me. I even had them put together lovely flower pots for my daughter's wedding center tables and they were gorgeous and affordable. I highly recommend Millcreek Gardens to any gardening enthusiast. more

I, along with my landscaper, bought 11 plants and 2 trees from this nursery. Talked with 3 different sales persons extensively during that time. They were very helpful. Two plants died over the next 3 months. I dug them up and took them back. Cashier told me they would only give me 50% of my money back because we didn't use their root developer and fertilizer. I told her nobody told me that at the time. She said ""Then somebody neglected their duty."" 4 employees, including the cashier that checked me out, didn't bring that up. That's 100% failure on their part. Oh and when a customer walks up to the register, don't say hi and then walk away leaving him to search for somebody else to help him with 2 other employees nearby also ignoring him. There was only 1 other customer in the store at the time. I won't be a returning customer. more

Incredible selection of pines and plants with a very knowledgeable employees. I needed help with some flowers for the front beds and was recommended some Zinnias, and wow all the neighbors will be at Millcreek Gardens next year for their flowers. Small pines added true beauty to our yard. Nice people and a real Utah Gem. Pros: selection Cons: need more concret sidewalks more

Worst service I've ever had. Paid for trees, cancelled order very next day and owner would not refund a credit until an inventory was done even though her own employee stated trees were never delivered! Cons: Owner, customer service the worst! more

I ordered several hundred dollars in plants in February. I did not hear from the nursery so I called them in April and was assured that when they came in they would be put aside for me and I would be called. By the first of May I had not heard so I stopped by and was told that the type of service I requested eg as ordering ahead of time, was a weakness of theirs. To make a long story short, the plants that had come in were, at least, partially sold. No one had the courtesy to call and nothing has been done for my order. Also the stock is way over priced. I will never be back. One less customer. more

They didn't do their job right. Called several times and always put on hold for more than 10 minutes. Very rude employee, incompetent, unreliable and did not do what they said they will do, for example they would say that they will come within 1 hour and they NEVER DID!! No phone calls to say that they can not come. Said to come to give root enhancer the next day, instead of knocking on the door, they did their job, left a note, and ran, saying they didn't want any confrontation. WHAT KIND OF SERVICE IS THAT?? more

Terrific selection of annuals and perenials and it's a great place to buy sod or soil enhancers--they usually have someone to help load your car if you're not dressed for the job. The staff here is friendly and pretty helpful. The selection of tools is not as great as other places around town, however. And pulling out of the parking strip onto busy 11th East can be difficult if your car is filled to the roof with plants. Pros: Good selection Cons: Limited parking more
