WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! 5/22/2012

Mike took a month and a half to repair the tips on my shoes, that he originally promised would be done in one week. He would not return my calls, and when he finally finished, he wanted to still charge me full price (his prices are high to begin with). When I asked him what happened, and why no one would return my calls, or tell me what was going on. He said ""It is not my fault, and I could have just kept them if I wanted to"". I told him that would have been theft. He got very angry, and he was waiving his hands everywhere. He seemed very unstable. I would not recommend my worst enemy to go there. Save yourself the trouble, and go elsewhere. Stay very very far away!!! more

Poor Customer Service 3/27/2012

My luggage was to be repaired within two weeks. After two weeks, my luggage was not only NOT repaired, it could not be found. Several weeks later I received a call stating the luggage was found and would be repaired within the week. Two weeks later I visited the store to pick up the luggage only to again hear that the piece could not be found. The clerk was finally found, but still NOT repaired!!! I replaced the wheels, it took me just over an hour (including the time it took to buy the wheels). more

DO NOT GO HERE! 11/1/2011

THE WORST SHOE REPAIR I have seen! They cut the tips of my ""pointy"" boots off, so they are now rounded - and only replaced the tip rather then the whole sole, so now it's two different bottoms. They said they were going to replace the sole of another pair of heels I left at the same time and they glued a slab of tan plastic to the bottom and replaced the bottom of the wooden heel with a black cover, rather then tan to match the wood. All of this cost me $56 dollars and it looks like a 5 year old did it. These were picked up by someone else, so when I saw them - I called the store to discuss my disappointment and the guy was very rude. Needless to say, I will never be taking another pair to Mike's. more

Excellent customer service! 9/18/2010

I took a pair of Aldo pumps that needed the bottom of the heels repaired to Mike's Shoe Repair. As it was a busy Saturday afternoon, it took about 2-3 minutes for someone to assist me. I showed my shoes to Mike, asking if there was any hope for my beloved shoes. He whisked them to the back and within about 5 minutes, they were completely fixed!!! I had expected to drop them off and have them back in a week if I was lucky. Not only was I thrilled to have my shoes wearable for that same night, but I couldn't believe how inexpensive of a fix it was! I will never take my shoes anywhere else :) more

I took a pair of Gucci sneakers here with a scuff mark on them. I asked if he could repair them and what exactly would be done. Without answering my questions he took the shoe in the back and told me to come back in an hour. I told him that if they repair would not be subtle to please not do anything...again he semi-cut me off and jjust said ""ahh i'll take care of it don't worry"" I told him they were VERY expensive (525 dollars)..He said ""I understand/"" I came back to pick them up and it looked like someone just took a nail-polish brush and painted over the scuff with a color that really did not even match. I looked at them with disbelief that my shoes were ruined..all he had to say was ""it look better than before"" which was NOT true because it went from a semi subtle scuff to a huge, brush stroke laden, non matching section. DO not expect good service here! Pros: nothing! Cons: lack luster repair and they don't care more

Awful Service- Go Elsewhere! 10/13/2005

My shoes were not ready when promised and they had allotted plenty of time- an entire week. They did a bad job on the spot on two pair (waited a half an hour), and promised to call me the next day with the status of the third pair (they never called). I highly recommend staying away from this vendor. more
