We moved from Round Rock, TX to Bastrop, TX in September, 2010. I contacted Mike and he came all the way to Round Rock to give us an estimate, which was very reasonable priced. His team (2 trucks and 4 guys) showed up on time and handled everything with care. They did a professional job. I was particularly concerned about them moving my Boston grand piano, and I watched carefully how this was handled. All I can say is that they know what they are doing; they packed delivered, and set it up in the new place without a problem. Its the first time we've moved without a scratch, dent, or breakage. I just recently relocated from Houston to Smithville in early June 2008, Mike's moving came hiighly recommended from several residents in Smithville and decided to call to get some information, I was warmly greeted by Christi the assistant and was told that I should be getting a call shortly from the owner Mike. Mike called the same day and was very pleasant to deal I had to move quiickly due to a emergency situation within my famiily and exceeded my expectations as far as makiing this move happen. I was pleasantly surprised with his quote and schedule the move for later in the month. His crew was on time, polite and had everything needed to professionally prepare my furniture for transport. Over the past years I used a company located in Austin and thought I'd found the best which was not the case. Although the Austin company was better than average Mike's Moving beat their price by a considerable amount. The packing materials and boxes at Mike's were also well under priced compared to other vendors. I was pleased to find out Mike's company not only handles local moves but moves throughout the state and I wouldn't be suprised if he also takes care of out of state moves. You could probably find cheaper movers but you get what you pay for. Not the case with Mike and his crew, the service and quality are far beyond what you pay for at a very reasonable rate. They handled my furniture with care, were timely and worked diligently to accomendate my needs. I appreciated their willingness to make my move go smoothly. I recently used Mike's Moving for a move from Dripping Springs Tx to Bastrop TX and recommend Mike and his team highly. His packers showed up on time and wrapped everything quickly and efficiently and the moving team had my belonging loaded and moved in no time at all. All of his employees were pleasant and eager to work. I also purchased all my boxes from Mike and they were very reasonably priced. He even was honest enough to tell me that the move came in under his original quote and cost me even less than I had anticipated. I purchased some large pices of furniture at an estate auction after I moved and I used Mike's moving to pick up and deliver those pieces. Some of the pieces were valuable and fragile, but he moved them with no problem and everything was delivered with no breakage. I will definitely use Mike's Moving for my next move. more

My family recently used Mike's moving service and although we have done business in the past with Mike we had never used his moving service until now. Our experience was stressful and we were gravely disappointed with the team that was sent to our house. After only 3 hours the movers were sent on their way as they were moving so slow it would have taken several hours to complete the move; we ended up searching for a moving truck and completing the move on our own. I did contact Mike in reference to the item that was broken and the unprofessionalism of his team, Mike did rectify the situation to our minimal satisfaction. We recommend anyone who is looking into using this mover to please ask alot of questions and speak directly to Mike before committing to anything. My best advice is when the movers arrive if it does not feel right to you send them on their way immediately and call Mike. I think Mike is honest but his employee lack tremendously in professionalism. more
