I was looking to purchase a new puppy and was interested in a small breed. I hated to even think of going here as a friend of mine had purchased a pup from here and it was one fight after another trying to clear up issues such as paperwork, health, suspected abuse, etc. Beyond that, I personally have purchased from this pet shop previously and have had several problems. The staff is altogether rude and very unfriendly. I think they need to understand that when a customer is willing to drop 600-900 dollars for a dog/snake/etc, then the least they could do as a seller is show some respect and not be complete smart-asses. The snake I purchased had burns from heat rocks all over, and I was told she had been eating when the vet said she had not eaten in a while. Alas, I'm from a small area and we don't have very many pet shops, so I decided to give them a try. Yesterday, when I called about the pups, I couldn't even get the young lady to tell me what breeds of small dogs they had for sale to save me from driving 40 minutes out of my way to look. All she would say is 'we have several' and when I asked for the specific breeds she said 'I'm not going to sit here and name off every one of them, there's just far too many'. When I got there they had maybe 4 different breeds, one of which was not even a small dog breed. None of the pups looked very healthy. They were not active, they didn't perk up and bark/whine when you approached. They just stayed in the corners of the FILTHY cages where they were without moving. Since this is a small area with hardly any pet stores (there are two within a 75 mile radius), I guess they figured they don't have to be that good. Well, in my opinion I would rather drive 2 hours and find a decent shop than buy anything off people that are rude and don't take good care of their animals.
Pros: one of the only pet stores around here
Cons: unclean, unprofessional, knowledge deficit, rude, over-priced
