I had an issue with sewage backing up into my shower and since we had recently replaced the main under our yard, I was surprised. Jerry and Mat came out to take a look and diagnosed it as a root issue on the city side, but they snaked it for free (since I had work done by them before). The best part was that they explained how to tell where the problem was and how to contact the city to deal with issues that were off my property. more

Randy arrived on time and gave excellent service. He was very courteous and professional. I was having trouble with one of my toilets. Randy said there was a couple of things wrong with it and he could fix them or replace it. I chose to have it replaced. I called MC plumbing and had them replace 5 toilets and work on a few urinals that were not draining well. Randy responded and was very professional and helpful. We have old valves that would not turn and an old flange that would not allow the toilet to be bolted to floor correctly. Randy found a solution to everything. I believe I could have had the work done by a smaller plumbing company that was just as qualified and professional for probably 2/3 of what was charged, so I gave the value an average rating. more

Our shower handle had sheered-off the valve and water was running. Randy arrived quickly. He quoted the price for a simple cartridge replacement. After he began work, we discovered that the cartridge could not be pulled out, so he chipped it out of the housing. Also, the first replacement cartridge did not fit exactly right, so he removed it and installed a second cartridge, which worked. Although there was extra time and effort for this repair, the original quoted price was charged; and never were there any words from Randy that this job might need extra money to cover the extra effort. more

Your technician Jerry came out on Saturday to assess our situation. We noticed right away that he had put on boot covers and that he was very polite. Once he found our leak, he went to work on it right away. After he fixed the leaky pipe, he went on and cleaned up the mess under the sink. We didn't expect him to do that! Before leaving, Jerry double checked his work and cleaned up where he was working. We were very pleased with Jerry's attitude and workmanship...Good job! more

The service was prompt after my old water heater failed. The technician worked under difficult circumstances outside in bad weather and still did a very good job. Hard to compare cost as I did not have a lot of time to shop around. more

Randy came in answer to a request to fix a leak, but while he was here we asked him to check out a couple of slow drains and to evaluate our slow-flush commode. He repaired the leak, snaked out the drains and ordered a new commode for us. The water heater they sold me a year ago worked just fine, until I had to turn it off for fumigation purposes. I then had to call them because PG&E could not get it turned back on. Turns out the igniter is bad. I call Mike Counsil immediately and they told me the next appointment they could get me was in two days. TWO days! That's two days without hot water. So I made the sacrifice of not showering for two days so as to comply with THEIR schedule. Two days later, they don't show. No call. Nothing. So now I'll be without hot water for I don't know how long. I try calling them and I get a message stating a phone number that doesn't even match the one listed on their website. I try calling ALL the numbers on their site and they all connect to the very same message. Their site says 24/7 by the way. So I have no recourse whatsoever. I called another company which did come out in just 2 hours. Unfortunately, they couldn't fix the problem either because they didn't have the parts for this heater that they know better than to sell because of the chronically bad igniter. To others out there. If you have a business and want to lose customers for life, this is the way to do it. more

Gary and Chris installed a Pelican system, in the cold rain and mud under the house. When it was done it was clean, neat and worked great. They explained everything that they were doing and walked us thru the completed job. We felt very comfortable with them and would recommend them to anyone. more

Gary's team came in to our offices and replaced over 20' of clogged pipe for us in between a ceiling/floor. They covered everything, put up plastic on the walls and on the floor, they didn't make a mess anywhere. Their work was very meticulous and the workers were very courteous. Gary explained the job to me in as much detail as I wanted and showed me their work - answered all my questions. I highly recommend Gary and his team!! I called Mike Council Plumbing to inspect/repair one backed up toilet and another toilet with an improper fill valve. Randy was the plumber who made the service call. After inspecting both toilets and giving me several options, the fill valve was replaced in the master bedroom toilet and I decided that the 14 year old toilet in the hall bath should be replaced. Both the work to be performed and pricing were explained clearly, The actual work was completed quickly and quietly. I highly recommend Randy for his professional thoroughness and courteous manner. I would not hesitate to call Mike Council Plumbing, in particular, Randy again. Job well done! more
