After 6 months, I finally decided to cancel my 3-year old daughter's swim classes at Midwest Aquatics. I signed her up with hopes that she would learn how to swim in a fair and nice environment. Unfortunately, to my disappointment, my daughter hasn't learned too much and her swim teacher is not fair when dealing with her students. My daughter was the least knowledgeable at swimming and because of that she kept being shortchanged during class. I counted how many times she actually was called by the instructor to enter the water and it was, in average, 3 times per class, each being about 1.5 minutes long. That's 4.5 minutes for each 30 minutes class. Also, while the other students who knew how to swim would be with the instructor about 9 to 10 times per class, mu daughter was constantly being skipped. In addition, when the students were making noises or not seating still, they would be called on by the instructor, but my daughter would be kicked out of the class, skipped another swimming round or made sit with me... the other students received a much more lenient punishment for the same or sometimes even worse misbehavior. It's sad when even other parents comment that my daughter was being shortchanged because the instructor doesn't seem to have patience to deal with a student who is new to swimming. Again, I had high hopes and was very sad to see that her class lacked fairness.
