My God, This is Terrible, and whats so bad about it, I have a relative out there right now.He was placed there last night 12/17/11. He has been there twice before. He has some serious depression issues. He had to go there cause the other place CSU in Nashville had no beds. He has no insurance. Well he has I think its called Safety net or something. That will help pay for some of his meds and his Drs. appointments at Centerstone. That place there I have issues with but that is a different story for a different day. He along with lots of other people can not get Tenn Care because he is over 18 or 19 and is not pregnant . I would advise him to go try to get on disability. Then Maybe, just maybe he can get some help. But all this stuff I Have read really scares me. If he comes out of this he won't go back there again if I have anything to do with it. Maybe one day they will either clean that place up or shut it down more

I can't talk about it much due to PTSD from my experiences there.I was stripped of all dignity and treated so badly that I did not want to belive it was real. Unfortunately it was all too real. I was a victim of this place 2 times 7 years apart. It is an absolute nightmare. I only pray that I will recover from the horrible memories of forced drugging and abuse. The first time I only saw it. The second time I was a victim. more

I totally agree with the first review. This place is so screwed up I don't see how it's still open.I know first hand about the abuse that happens in this place I thought after 10yrs. it would have gotten better but apparently not. I know for a fact that a nurse would give a juvenile patients unsubscribed xanax just so they would not act out.I also know that male staff members would have intimate relationships with female juvenile patients. All this did happen a long time ago and I'm sure that some of these people do not work there anymore,but there will always be other staff to take that place. After my experience of having a friend that was admitted to this place recently I can tell you that nothing has changed.Everything that was said in the first review by brucegrimm is absolutely correct . I only met one person there that was nice, would answer my questions ,and would return my phone calls in a timely manner and that was the patient advocate.The case worker (Dana),the charge nurse(would not give me her name on unite F)where the most rudest, unconcerned,and unprofessional people I have ever spoken with in this line of work. I feel so sorry for the patients there most of them do not have insurance and can not go anywhere else.It's a shame that mentally ill people have to go threw that and live there.I don't understand how they expect anyone to get better.The logic is (this came directly from a staff member )Is hopefully their experience here will be bad enough that the patient will think before they have problem again. This facility has to be one of the worst in the State. It is both Federally , and State funded. The food is deplorable. The conditions in wich the psychiatric patients live is condusive to worsening physical and mental health as the patients are forced out of thier rooms at 6:00am, (some very heavily medicated) and are made to sit the entire day. This hospital has the most inept patient staff anywhere. They are verbally, and physically abusive. They have been investigated on numerous occasions resulting in several terminations.\r This hospital at the time of this reveiw, is under investgation for physical abuse once again. I personally find the thought of someone with serious mental disabillties being abused in any form dispicable. If someone you love or care about at all finds their way into this institution, do everything humanlly possible\r to have them moved immediately. Pros: 0 Cons: 10 more
