I needed a couple pairs of pants hemmed, and didn?t know where to go. I looked on this website, and read the previous review. It seemed like a reputable place to go. I called Irene to set up an appointment. I was supposed to be there at 9:30am on a Thursday morning. \r \r I arrived on time and rang the door bell?and rang the door bell?and knocked on the door?.and knocked on the door. I finally tried to call her phone number, thinking perhaps that she had not heard the bell. I called her phone number twice, with no answer. I knocked on the door and rang on the bell one more time. After more than 10 minutes of waiting at her front door, I finally decided to just leave. \r \r I was very disappointed in Irene?s professionalism. I made a special trip out to her home, and didn?t even get my pants hemmed. I would recommend not wasting your time with Irene?s Alterations. \r Cons: Didn't answer the door or phone when I arrived for my appointment! more

I bought a beautiful and expensive wedding gown one year before the wedding date(Mistake) Wanted to look good for my wedding and went down three sizes - YES!! However, my expensive dress no longer fit. Panicking the week before, found Irene who was able to see me on a Sunday and have it to me the next day. It looked great!! Wedding went great!! My husband needed alterations to some suits for an important business trip the next day. Irene worked all night and had the suits ready the next day!!! I have been using her since. She is a very hardworking, nice, honest lady that does excellent work. You get the feeling she really takes pride in her work. I agree with the previous review - She works out of her cape cod style house and it feel like a visit to your mom's or aunt's house for some sewing work. Highly recommended!!! Irene did a great job with a last minute alteration I needed done. She is reliable, professional & finished what I needed done & it looked great. She works out of her home which has a separate fitting & sewing room- a very comfortable & personable environment. Her prices are great too. Pros: Reliable Cons: Can't think of any more
