I have been going here for years. My doctor there is great but staff is sometimes a bit clueless and it's not unusual to spend an hour just waiting to be taken back to be weighed, bp taken, etc. Then another half hour before doctor comes in. I had the misfortune to have to deal with Dr. Vance Sanders when I had a weekend emergency medical problem. He was so rude, crude, and offensive, my husband said, Who were you talking to and what is his problem? I literally got off the phone and cried and I'm not a crier by nature. He must be the meanest medical professional I've ever dealt with. more

So my wife goes to her appointment and Dr Sanders is basically writing her off and doesnt even look at the problem.He was unprofessional and pretty much a jerk to her. After a while he stated that we can pretend that my wife was never even there. I found him to be rude and obnoxious...He is a unkind human being and isn't worth the paper his medical degree is printed on. I hope he chokes on a donut, while he is stuffing his fat face... more

I usually don't go online to write reviews, but felt compelled to comment on my doctor, Dr. Judith Brown and the staff I have encountered at Orange Grove Family Practice over the past 8-10 years. Dr. Brown takes a personal interest in my health, and she is extremely thorough in her evaluations. She has treated me for a variety of things, and every time she has suspected something unusual she has been spot on. I cannot speak for the other doctors, but I have never been treated with anything other than the highest degree of professionalism. I am sorry some others have not found this to be so, and I am not sure why this has happened to them. I am always seen promptly and Dr. Brown and her assistant always respond promptly to my phone calls. I am so grateful to her for the excellent care she has given me and would never go to any other physician. more

I have been going here for a while and after many unsatisfying visits I decided to get a different doctor. Every time I go I get there 15-20 minutes early and I usually do not get called back into a room until 30 - 45 after my appointment time. Once not getting called until an hour after my appointment time. The doctors are not very helpful either. Many times it takes multiple appointments to get any type of answer. I have been asked to do a food diary which I did and then once I brought it back in another appointment the doctor did not even look at it she just asked if I noticed anything about my eating habits. (Hello I am not the doctor thats what I am paying you for). I had changed doctors within the office because mine (who was good) left. With the new doctor (Favata) I have had 2 paps and in both she has cut me and made me bleed and was very rough in general. Overall the time spent waiting and the money spent having to go back for multiple follow-ups is the reason I do not like this practice. more

I am surprised that this office has so many negative reviews. I have been a patient at OGFP since 2001 and I have not experienced these problems. \r \r I have found the staff friendly and helpful. They have always returned my calls but sometimes the response is slow. I have changed my habits though, if I have a question I send a letter to my doctor through the USPS. This allows me to articulate with thought and cover all topics I want to address prior to scheduling an office visit. Perhaps the person citing the $175 lesson could have written the doctor a letter... \r \r Anyway, my doctor is Brown and she is fantastically through. more

I wanted to make Dr. Ray my personal doctor. I was told that I needed to have an appointment to establish care. When I went she lectured me about my diet choices. Then she codded the visit as weight counseling so it wasn't covered by my insurance. IT was a $175 dollar lesson that this is NOT the office to go to. more

The staff has absolutely NO idea what they are doing. Sandy over there is the most RUDE person I have ever encountered at a doctor's office and as for ""Dr"" Sanders, I have NEVER met a more disgustingly arrogant and awful so called doctor. He didn't even look me over, nor did he touch the lump I have. Every time I tried to talk or ask a question he cut me off and then gave me a referral to a surgery center????!!!! He needs to go back to New Jersey and would be a great fit for the sick reality show out there. I have met a lot of bad Dr.'s here in Az. but none as bad as him. more

My doctor is great, his staff is not. No return phone calls, weeks to get prescriptions refilled, long wait for appointments. There are LOTS of doctors in this office, so you feel like your being ""mass processed"". This would be OK if the staff treated you like a person, but no, they act like your just one more person to deal with.\r \r Often, my pharmacy will not get a refill authorization from the doctor, and there is no way to get in touch with anyone to understand what the issue is. I have seen a couple of doctors there and they are always so helpful and really take the time to listen. I have even been able to get in the same day when I wasn't feeling well. The office staff is very nice and understanding. I don't know what Becky3950 is talking about because this is the best doctors office I have ever been a part of. Normally there are lots of problems, but not here. They returned phone calls quickly for me when I have left messages. I really have nothing negative because it has always been a pleasant experience for me there...especially compared to other doctors offices. The doctors are pretty good but the office staff is very difficult to work with.
