My 16 year old daughter had long wavy black hair. Michi straightened her hair last year and she loved it. This weekend, Michi, straightened her new hair, trimmed her hair in layers and cut straight bangs. I asked her how pleased she was with her hair the first time from 0-100 and she answered 150. Her hair looks naturally shiny, and does not look damaged at all. I heard of a couple of places that were a little cheaper, but I also heard that Michi was the best. I don't regret paying a little extra for a sure thing. Pros: Parking in the rear. more

LA's Best Japanese Straight Perm 11/29/2008

I have fine hair and was nervous to undergo the straight perm process. Michi carefully inspected my hair and assured me that it would be okay. She was right - the results are amazing. Considering my hair type I would only trust Michi. She is a true professional and clearly knows what she is doing. Furthermore, she is a real pleasure to be around - which is important considering the length of time this process takes. I am very happy with my hair and I highly recommend Michi - she is great! Hey everyone! I am Kristina and I went to Michi Nov. 5/2008. She is very professional! I highly recommend Michi and only her. Don?t spend your money to cheep salons because you will end up redoing your hair ending up paying even more. My hair is so silky and it feels even BETTER than it was before Japanese Straightening! Even though I paid more than usual suspicious salons would charge but at least I was sure I won?t end up shaving my head. E-mail her, she responds within several hours offering you free consultation. You will never regret it, I promise! Don?t wait?go there! I would definitely go ahead and retouch my roots in 6 months with Michi! I love my hair and I can?t stop touching it! =))) Pros: Friendly! I have curly, frizzy, unruly hair and after going to Michi, I have straight, shiny, healthy hair!! Michi is amazing! I went to her last year right before a cruise to the humid Caribbean and my hair stayed straight and shiny the entire time. I never thought it was possible!! I just came back from my second time seeing Michi and again , am amazed at what a great job Michi does. She is so careful and very knowledgeable. I emailed a lot of questions before I first went to see her and she was quick to respond and very helpful. In person, she is just as sweet and caring. She does the straightening in a private room at the salon. She makes it very comfortable and lets you bring whatever DVDs you'd like. Get it done right the first time. 11/8/2007

So the salon is very unassuming from the outside, very nice, clean, quaint and friendly. Low presssure, modern, inviting environment with friendly stylists. Michi met me promptly with a warm smile and a handshake. She made me feel very welcome from the get go. She has her own room in the back of the salon. Well organized, neat and has a flat screen and tunes for your entertainment. She does an initial consultation and really listens to what you are after. She is incredibly sweet and a consumate professional and honestly takes pride in what she does and I tell you she does it well. She knows more about the products she is using and how to use them properly than anyone I've gone to. She is incredibly patient, takes her time and does things correctly. There was no burn, no discoloration or lightening and it came out as I had hoped. I'm a guy and a doc and never thought I'd spend that much time or money on my own hair but if you are going to get straightened, do it right, go to Michi and no one else. Michi is the best! 9/30/2007

I am so thankful to michi! She saved my hair. I went to another salon that was a little bit cheaper to get the straightening, and the guy completely ruined my hair. It was so bad that parts of my hair started breaking off! It was so traumatizing I didn?t know what to do. My hair was once long and healthy and now it was frizzy, damaged and unmanageable. I was very hesitant but I decided to go to michi as a last resort to let her try and restore the strength of my hair and needless to say that I am beyond happy with the results. What is different about michi is that she really understands the whole process of the straightening system she understands the chemicals that she is working with and how they affect your hair. I will never trust anyone else with my hair other than michi and I strongly urge you to be careful who you trust to use any types of chemicals on your hair... more

Michi is great! 9/13/2007

My sister and I recently got our hair permanently straightened by Michi and not only was the result great but the experience as well. We have relaxed our hair and gotten the YUKO system done with what we now know were inexperienced people. We were extremely hesitant when we went in for the consultation but Michi reassured us that she could make our hair permanently silky and straight. We didn't believe it until we saw it! After our hair was washed the final time all she did was blowdry it and it was straight! She also gave us a free haircut. The whole process took awhile but it wasn't painfully long because Michi has a flat screen tv and dvd player in the private room she does the hair straightening in. best haircut ever! 8/10/2007

I got my hair straightened by Michi about one month ago and have been loving it from day one. My hair was so frizzy and curly but now it takes me 10 minutes to dry it and then I am done. I was scared to straighten my hair at first but would do it again in a heartbeat because I love it so much. Everyone at Michi's salon was so friendly and nice too. Excellent all around! 6/26/2007

I just got my hair straightened on Friday and I love it!!!! Michi was great! She answered all of my questions very patiently and took the time to examine my hair to make sure I was a good candidate for the treatment. After she was done she merely ran the blower over my hair for about five minutes (without a brush!!!!) and it came out looking like I had been sitting in the chair getting flat ironed for a few hours. I would recommend Michi to anyone and everyone! Afterwards she gave me a great hair cut (included!). She also does the treatment in a cute room that has a flat screen tv a dvd player, a stereo and very zen candles so you can have fun and relax while you are there! ;) Pros: Service Cons: Street parking more

I have been going to Michi for over 15 years, and no one can cut hair better then she can. I have thick curly hair, and if you know anything about curls, they are the hardest to tame, style and cut. Michi is a hairstylist I travel miles for. I have had my share of awful hairstylist and when you find one that is in tune with what you like and can provide that service you want, it's Michi. Michi always seems to find a hairstyle that suits my features while keeping it low maintenance for my busy schedule. I have traveled over 500 miles to have her cut my hair---she was worth ever mile. more

Simply The Best! 5/22/2007

I can't say it enough, I love Michi and what she does with my hair! I have been seeing her for 5 years and I will never let another person touch my hair. She is really amazing. When I first started going to her my hair was red, in horrible condition and just embarrassing. Michi brought my hair back to life, and over time transformed it into this beautiful blonde color. I LOVE MY HAIR. I now go to her and say, do what you think is best and I know she will cut it just as I want it and the color will be amazing. Best Hair Straightening in the Country! 5/22/2007

I have the curliest most ""unwilling to let you do anything"" hair you can imagine. I went to 3 Japanese hair straightening specialists who all ruined my hair (even one that was featured on extreme makeovers!) - and then I found Michi. I've been going to her for over 2 years and fly in from Texas every 4 months for a touch- up because I can't find anyone else that is as good as she is. Best Hairdresser 5/22/2007

Michi is the best! Michi has been my hairdresser for about 10 years and I highly recommend her. She is a color specialist who helps me keep my hair very healthy even though I go from a natural dark color to a blonde color with highlights. She has a great personality and always makes me feel both comfortable and important. She always listens to what I want and works with my vision of what I want my hair to look like and not the other way around. When I want her input she always gives me great suggestions. I believe she goes the extra mile with her clients because she truly wants them to be happy and that I feel is hard to find. You can't find a better stylist or person. more

Michi has been doing my hair straightening for about 3 years now and she is consistantly amazing! She is not only the sweetest lady, but she is fun and does an excellent job. My hair has never looked better! Her new facility makes you feel like a VIP - private room, flat screen tv - bring your DVDs! I watched many Golden Girls Episodes while my hair was being worked on and the time just flew by. Best Hair Straightening Anywhere 1/12/2007

Michi has been styling my hair for three years, and never once have I had reason to complain. The first time I visited the salon to have my hair permanently straightened she worked for eight hours, and when my hair still didn't completely hold the perm (not because of any incompetence on her part, but simply because my hair was ridiculously thick and frizzy) she let me come back, and redid the process free of charge! Michi has been straightening my hair for over three years. I have strayed a few times, and highly regreted it; Michi was able to fix their poor work. I fly all the way from Charlotte, NC twice a year to have Michi straighten my hair. I am always confident that she will do the best job possible and that I will leave Jordan's with hair that I will love everday. I used to hate my incredibly frizzy hair, now....I love my hair. I drive 2 hours to see Michi. I used to hate my hair but now I LOVE IT. Michi takes her time to make sure your hair comes out its best. My hair has never been this healthy and shiny. I get compliments all the time. People dont belive that I have curly hair. It is amazing what she has done to my hair. She is a godsend for me. The fog or humidity would make my hair a big fluffy frizz ball and now I dont even have to worry about it. I dont trust antone else with my hair she is worth the drive, Michi is the BEST!
