Michel's Full Service Salon & Day Spa

I wish Tabitha with 'Salon Take Over' could visit this salon. I visited for the first time because it's close to my home. First the 90's décor got my attention, then the slight tension among the staff and finally the attitude of the manager or owner. The place was empty and I could hear one guy I thought was the owner or the manager. Who ever he was, he was trashing another salon in town to another client while I was getting my hair done by another stylist. OMG. I could not wait to get out of there. The tension & the drama were so thick, you could cut it with a knife. I do not even remember the name of the girl that did my hair which was ok but overpriced for the experience. I will never go back. more

The salon is a nice place. It was a week night so it was quiet. I was greeted nicely. Elie was very sweet and listened to me about what I wanted. Normally hairstylists want to cut more than I want cut. He did a clarifying shampooing on my hair and it made it really clean and soooooo shiny. He just gave me a trim but it looks nice and healthy. He spent more time blowdrying my hair and even curled it which no one has ever done. For the price and his experience he should be in a trendier salon in Atlanta. But you don't have to drive far to get a great cut. more

This was a pretty decent place, but the service didn't match the price. I was told that i was using the wrong products and that is why my hair will not hold a curl, so he proceeded to style it and use several products that he highly recommended. When he was finished my hair did look good, but there was no noticable curl and within 15 minutes of leaving it was back to straight. He also made a comment about buying products that just struck me the wrong way. i am not sure if he did it on purpose or if it just came out. He was having some personal issues so i am trying to chalk it up to that, but when you pay $50 plus tip there is a certain expectation and unfortunately it wasn't met. more

My Stylist is fabulous! He takes his time with me, treats me like gold when I walk in. His expertise in color is awesome. If he feels he deliver exactly what you were looking for, he makes it right! Love him. Kim more

I see what this lady said I am shocked. I was there.I know the lebanese guy that you are talking about and as a matter of fact I have known him for 10 years. He is probably one of the sweetest guys that I know. He does high end hair for all types of customers including actors and actresses. I did hear him repeat what he was telling you but you acted as you didn't hear him or acknowledge him so he repeated what he was telling you so that you could understand. It is too bad you feel the way you do. it didn't look like the way you described it. Go try him again because he is one of the best in town. I am shocked at what is being said. You said something about getting hair done for "$15.00" on Buford hwy, you get what you pay for. He only explained to you the way the hair has to be done for it not to have split ends and uneven. He said he wanted to bring hair back to healthy state. He said that you should use flat iron on low heat to infuse the ends with anta friz products to look shinny and healthy. plus using the iron.. That is great advice. I just think you could have come in looking more professional than you did. It takes more than $15 to get a good haircut. Some people just can't be happy. more

Don't EVER go there! They have, by far, the worst customer service of any place I've gone to. So I purchased a certificate for Michel's for my mother and me several months ago. The certificate was good for 4 visits on various treatments on hair, back, face, and nails. The guy who sold it to me said I could get everything for $20 so I instantly bought 2. First of all, when I called to make the appointment, the lady was very rude. She scheduled my appointments but was very inconsiderate. My mom and I went to our first appointment which was for our hair. My mom didn't want to cut her hair, but the guy insisted that if she didn't cut it, the deal wouldn't count. And then they were going on and on about how they HAD to blow dry and straighten her hair so she can get a straight cut. I've been to numerous salons and I have never heard that in my life before. My mom has very sensitive, fine, brittle hair and she didn't want to straighten it with the hot iron because it burns it. BUT THE GUY WOULD NOT LISTEN. they obviously didn't care about what we wanted. He kept talking to us as if we were stupid and knew nothing about hair. Well, my mom went to beauty school and used to work at a salon so she knew that he was full of B.S. They were just saying that so they could charge us more. But my mom, being the patient and good-hearted woman that she is, just went along with it and said she'd pay extra since he kept on insisting. The package also included a conditioning treatment that did nothing whatsoever to my hair. I've had conditioning treatments before that last at least a few weeks. This one didn't even last a day. I think they just used regular conditioner to save money. Also, when the guy was working on my mom's hair, he was going back and forth answering calls (even though there was someone else to do that job), talking to other customers and workers, and totally not giving my mom the attention a customer deserves. HE WAS SO RUDE. If you ever go there, never work the guy from Lebanon. he has dark hair and is light-skinned. The nicest lady there was the one who did my hair. She has very wavy hair and I think her name is Debbie but I'm not sure. She was very very courteous and gave very good customer service. Anyway, in the end, they charged us $50 for the visit for the extra blowdry and straighten. WHO CHARGES THAT MUCH FOR A BLOWDRY?! and add that to the $20 i paid for each of the certificates and the tip. WE PAID $100 to get a crappy conditioning treatment, blowdry, straighten, and less than par customer service. We obviously didnt go back for our other appointments. Don't go there...... more

I needed to lift my spirits...so I treated myself to a day at the salon...OMG...you need to ask for Marie!!!! She is very professional, creative, artistic and has excellent people skills. I felt as if I went on a vacation to renew myself for a day. Not to mention how she made me look and feel so beautiful...it boosted my esteem and I made my normal real estate sales calls...and got a listing the very same day!! Marie is my permanent stylist and good luck charm!!! Thanks Michel's for having an asset such as Marie!!! Remember ladies to ask for MARIE when you make your appointments...you too will be writing a wonderful comment on CitySearch!!! more

Great service and the best facials. The facials are simply spectacular. I had several facials including the microdermabrasion facial and have to say the results are awesome. I also liked my haircut. I highly recommend the massage therapist, Rachel. She knows her stuff and will also give you tips on stretches and exercises to do to help with problem areas. I had been telling a friend of mine about Rachel for a while and she finally went. When she came back she raved about how much better her neck and back felt. Anyone who gets massage therapy on a regular basis knows how difficult it is to find a really good massage therapist who listens to what your problem areas are and knows how to address them. I will also say that I've been to two of the hair stylists at Michel's and neither have done a very good job. I won't go there again for hair. Pros: Great Massage Therapist more

I went in to buy hair products and the person at the counter was disturbed that I interrupted her lunch, aside from that she didn't even know which products they carried or what they were for!!! I like to have my hair done by people who look like they know how to do their own. No one there did. I don't think I will let them touch my hair!!!! more
