Michael's Italian Restaurant

My family and I go here all the time. We especially come here when we have friends and family visiting us. I have read a few bad review and some good reviews. I would definately go with the good reviews. Some people are just hard to please. I know the staff very well and they always take good care of you and your guests. ""Thumbs Up!"" more

I ordered a large pepperoni pizza to take home. The were courteous on the phone. When we got to the restaurant, parking was scarce and a little dangerous in that little parking lot. My husband made the comment that he would not come back there just because of parking. When we went inside, it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and I don't think I could ever sit inside and eat. But the pizza was really good. One of the better ones I've eaten in Waukesha County. Despite the parking, I would go back for another pizza. Pros: pizza Cons: parking and cigarette smoke smell more

I placed an order for take-out and the person who answered the phone did not know what half of the items were on the menu or how to pronounce them. Upon arrival, a coupon that was from the city clipper coupon magazine was not honored even though it did not say ""Dine-in only"". After being frustrated with that experience, I arrived at home to find out that the dinner salads were not included. We called and were told we could come back and get them or they would give us a credit for two side salads. Picking up the salads was not an option as we are 15 minutes away and that would mean that the rest of our food would be ruined by the time I returned. The credit was also worthlessas these salads are already included with each entree! When we called, we were treated like an inconvenience, not a good customer who has frequented Michael's for the past 5 years. I love the food I get from this place.I like to try different things when I dine out at the same place and usually I get a dud once in awhile,but I am being honest when I say I have never had a bad meal there.NEVER! I highly recommend this place....p.s. the Veal Siciliano is outta this world!!!! Pros: Best veal siciliano ever!Value Cons: needs a bigger parking lot more

Michael's pizza is one of the best thin crusts around. The service is sometimes bad. Suggest take out. Once we dined in when there was a large school team eating after a big game and we were ignored for over an hour. No drink refills or attention to our check when it came time to leave. First time we went we sat down, ordered, and waited 45 minutes for our food!!! Food really wasn't that good and when we voiced our displeasure, the manager said that he did not need our business. When I went back a 2nd time (w/out my husband as he won't step foot in the place again), I thought I'd try the Friday fish. Try being the key-word. They were out. Personally, i have to say nice things about the restaurant itself,however; food, the ambience and the service are poorly provided to the clientele. Food tastes ok, but not even close to real italian food. The chef should be aware of the uses of spices more accordingly. more
