Great location - awesome mgmt: Renting from Singer since beginning of this year in PA suburbs. When I call / email to report something needs to be done they response (read: fix!) depending on the emergency within the day. Very satisfied about this management. more

I have nothing but good things to say about Michael Singer Real Estate. I dealt with Linda Toppi, who is top notch -- incredibly nice and very accommodating. They fixed everything in the apartment pronto and even followed up via email to make sure I was happy. Great company, quick response, nice staff. If I can say anything about renting in Philly, it's stay away from William Penn Realty. They are the absolute worst mgmt company on the face of the planet. Horrible! 2 thumbs up for Michael Singer though. more

My Apartment was promised and delivered on time, it had been just painted, and was clean, and nice. I love my view overlooking a small park in the city. When I reported to them that my garbage disposal was not working, they replaced it the next day. The neighborhood is wonderful, and I have not had any problems with dealing with their office staff. It might have helped that when I reported my problem with the garbage disposal, it was around 8:30AM, and the gentleman who answered the phone, said he would put in the maintenance request right away. more

I've been renting/living in a Michael Singer owned property (The Claremont) for about two months now and can't complain about much. My rent is cheap as dirt and it's in a great location (which is what I need, being a student). My apartment certainly isn't the Tajmahal, but it's not bad. It's a very tiny studio in the basement. The ceiling is a little gross (it's just those tile-y things you can push up, that you usually see in schools or office buildings), the shower doesn't have much pressure, and the sink backs up at times. I've had to deal with maintenance a few times, they take a while to get back to you, but they've always gotten it done so far. That being said, my apartment is more or less fine. No weird smells (like some other reviews have stated), I've never seen a mouse, rat, cockroach, or anything like that. It seems to be pretty sound-tight as I never hear my neighbors, except for the occasional footsteps upstairs. When first renting the people I dealt with at the office were very helpful, so can't complain about anything on that front yet. Overall, if you're looking for somewhere really nice, Michael Singer might not be best, but if you're looking for a decent apartment in good location for a great price, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. more
