My experience working with Michael for the best headshots EVER. 9/14/2010

Headshots are the first and most important thing an actor NEEDS to start their careers in such a highly competitive buisness. You want to stand out among the 300,000 other actors trying to do the same thing. Actors are people too and need to feel comfortable around the person taking their "best" picture. We live in a day and age where people want to make a quick buck and get the job over with. Micheal Roud is one of the ONLY professional photographers that really cares about bringing out the BEST in your personality on camera. He spends a lot of time figuring out what exactly u need, what u want out of the shoot, and lets u be free to be YOU. He was was very proficient with time, knew what he needed to capture and before you know it you have these images that will get you WORK in this town. Michael was just an extremely creative and fun loving person that lives his purpose. He will help you create the beginning of a new successful YOU. more

It was a one of kind experience you would want to happen over and over again. 9/8/2010

I was nervous in the beginning because I haven't done anything with a professional photographer before. Once I walked into Michael Roud Photography the environment was very organized, clean, and professional looking. It had a very calming effect. I met Michael, and he had a calm demeanor. He put me at ease. We hadn't met before. As the shoot progressed I loosened up and started to enjoy myself. Michael coached me, and he was very professional. He is a light person, who is easy to get along with and work with. Michael made the shoot fun, interesting, and exciting. He is very professional and has an eye for bringing out the best in people. The finished shoot was amazing. It was astonishing workmanship. more

Incredible photographer!! 9/5/2010

Choosing to have my headshots done with Michael Roud Photography was one of the best decisions I have made. Having worked with a couple other photographers in the Los Angeles area, I was immediately impressed with level of professionalism Michael and his staff provided. Both Michael and Karin are experienced, knowledgeable, and very dedicated to helping their clients achieve the best results. Moreover, they are extremely courteous and accommodating from the time you walk in the door to the time you leave. Michael has an excellent eye and has a way of making you feel comfortable while giving you the subtle direction needed to get the shots you want. When we reviewed my shots after the session, they were all so amazing that it was difficult to decide which ones to use. Great shots 9/2/2010

Michael Roud was the first real professional photographer my novice 14 year old daughter had worked with. He was patient, gave good directions and kept a sense of humor. The shots came out beautifully. We had a lot of commercial and theatrical shots to choose from and she got a management interview based on them. We signed before we even had the chance to print up multiply copies for submissions. Great shots make a huge difference. Michael Roud does great shots. more

Amazing work! 9/2/2010

My experience at Michael Roud Photography was absolutely amazing, and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for headshots that will get noticed! A great headshot is vital to the entertainment business, and is definitely something that can make or break you. The quality of his work is phenomenal, and he knows exactly what will make your headshots pop! My hair and makeup was done as well by his partner Karin, who knew what it took to make each look absolutely stunning. Not only did they know exactly what they were doing, but together they made a comfortable, fun, and friendly environment which I believe is important to getting your best shot! I couldn't be any happier with the results. more

Michael is the best photographer we have had! And we are very very picky. He is hard-working, talented and really knows how to "capture" the beautiful moments. He is there at all the right moments and is in tune with the party and whats important. We have had him at many different events and he has been a star at all of them. more

Best Photographer in Town with his support staff. 8/21/2010

This busy and successful photographer and cinematographer is simply one of the very best. They went out of their way with painstaking patience and accomodatation to give me my best shots ever. I went in wanting a Cary Grant type photo with shading and a split background and Michael's skill and gentle leadership acheived excellent results; the makeup/hair person was delightfilly painstakingly patient and professional, and his photo assistant quietly hardworking. Thank you soooooo very much. more

Michael and Karen were wonderful to work with. Michael took beautiful photographs of my daughter and Karen made her look like a star with hair and make-up. When I went in to see Michael I wasn't sure what I needed, in terms of head shots or otherwise. He worked with me in different areas to get what I needed. Michael is very good at understanding the essence of his subject, and capturing what is unique. He is also very knowledgeable about the entertainment business and was able to give good advice. more

I have two young kids and, like all kids, they can get tired and agitated, but Michael was great about getting things done quickly. He was very fast, but everything still turned out beautifully. He was easy to work with. more

Michael Roud and Karin Barragato are a first rate team. Headshots, makeup, and viewing are done with the upmost of quality in a "no -rush" environment. The word "professionals" best describes this team. Michael and Karin (Makeup Artist) do all the fine details that make first-rate head shots possible. They took the time to find the shots that gave our client the quality head shots needed to work in the industry! Reliable 7/28/2010

I am really excited with the outcome of the photos, and I have already recommended Michael Roud Photography to a few friends. There were moments then I was tired because it stressful to take photos and you wonder about the outcome, but the customer service was great. I would not change anything and I am extremely happy with the product as well as the price he gave me. I would give them a 10. I am a talent manger and I work with tons of other photographers in the industry, but Michael Roud Photography is who I chose to take photos of my daughter. This is my second time using them. Michael Roud's work is the best! 7/27/2010

I was pleasantly surprised by Michael Roud's work. I had just shot with another photographer and was very unhappy. I chose to re-shoot my current shots with Michael, and my mgr, agents, friends and family overwhelming agreed that Michael's work was the best photos I have taken. He also is fun to work with and took is time. And another plus, Karin, his makeup artist, did a great job. I highly recommend him! more

I found Michael off the internet, while searching for a professional photographer. After seeing his website, and talking to him, I was convinced I wanted to work with him. I was nervous and excited on the day of the photo session, but Michael's demeanor and calm environment placed me at ease. The was sincere, patient, and charming. Michael's studio was clean, organized with great space and light. Michael made my experience fun, and exciting. He is very talented, and has a natural instinctive eye for bringing the best assets out of people, as he did with me. I saw this when I reviewed the results. Highly recommend 7/26/2010

As an agent we have decided to only refer our talent to Michael Roud Photography Studio. He knows what works in the industry and meets our needs every time. He works with the clients to reveal their best qualities and features in their photos and we are able to submit to casting directors with a good success rate for call backs and bookings. He teams up with a makeup artist who also does the hairstyling and fashion styling to help our talent achieve their best image. Her makeup is natural and she too knows what is called for in the industry for both our men and women. The end results are always what we need. more
