Michael and Karen where the best! I was not in a mood to do any photo shoot today and the work they did for me was so amazing that I didn't know I can look so good. I would recommend them to everyone I know. Keep the good work! Dary more

Excellent experience 11/17/2010

Michael Roud is an excellent photographer. Beyond that - he is an excellent headshot photographer. During our session, Michael created an environment of ease and inspiration. He gave great direction resulting in great shots that communicate the 1000 words that a picture is supposed to. Michael also has experience in what works as a headshot today so we had a bucket full of excellent shots to choose from. I highly recommend getting hair and make-up as well. Karen was a great asset to the shoot, helping pick the right clothes and making sure I looked great. Together we created shots that I could not be happier with. I will definitely go back to Michael Roud Photography and highly recommend it. more

Great experience!!! 11/8/2010

Michael was great. He really made the photo session painless and moved the session along at a nice pace. Easy to talk to and open to suggestions. He has a great eye for shooting subjects and making the pictures stand out. We reviewed the shots as the session progressed to ensure I was getting what I needed, which really took the pressure off the shoot. As an actor having a great photographer is essential. more

Professional and puts you at ease, enabling you to be yourself. 11/4/2010

I acted in a short movie that Michael Roud directed and then I saw his work and decided to have him do my head shots. I am very happy that I did. He is very personable and he has a great eye. He also offered to do a little touch-up for me. Everything turned out very well. I went back a second time to have more shots taken because my agent wanted me to have shots with my beard. Michael is very good at putting you at ease and he's able to see you in a really good light. My experience with Michael Roud Photography was excellent. Gordon Capps more

LOVE this photog! 11/2/2010

Seriously if you are looking for a photographer who cares just as much as you do about how the images turn out then you found the right place. Michael spends time going through each picture one by one throughout the session to make sure that he captures your perfect angle all while getting the lighting and scene just right. He is honestly the best photog I have worked with and I am a model who has worked with dozens of photogs which should say something about how great this one is. I cannot wait for my next shoot with him! more

A great gift! 11/2/2010

It's probably the best gift I got for my husband..choosing Michael and Karin to do his headshots after our dissapointment with the previous photographer. We've got great compliments from our friends, family and the industry peeps! I definitely love my bodyshots and my theatrical looks. Karin did an excellent job with my hair and make-up. My agent is happy and we are both optimistic about our career path with these outstanding images. more

GREAT 10/28/2010

I'm extremely impressed with Michael's work. As an actor, headshots are paramount. After viewing the web gallery of the session we shot today, I can say with confidence that they will translate into a success for my career. Michael's shots are so vibrant and theatrical because he combines all of the elements with ease: lighting, wardrobe, direction, and most importantly, professionalism. Michael Roud Photography is phenomenal. I could not be happier with the way things turned out. Not only do they give amazing direction, but they are professional, kind, fun, and all around grand. Best Photographer in L.A. 10/20/2010

Ok so I know 5 Stars at times seems a bit much for most photograhers but seriously, Michael Round and his Make-up Artist Karin were amazing. I feel like I lost a year with my previous pictures b/c after having our Shoot I couldn't believe the outcome. Even my Agent was.....according to her own words "SHOCKED" & "AMAZED!" This has been a huge confidence boost for me. I couldn't have felt more comfortable and at ease. Best part was that after the session was done we had a viewing and went through every one of my pictures and narrowed them down to my best shots. This can always be so difficult and time consuming but with professionals involved I saved days of hassle. I can absolutely state that Michael Roud Photographer was by far and above the best photography studio in town. I guarantee you all you will not be disappointed. more

It's late but Im wide awake because Im filled with energy after shooting with Michael Roud today. Ive shot with a good handful of well known photographers and the experience with Michael and Karin is in a league of its own. I am left feeling SOOOO relieved as well as hopeful that the results I came home with are going to change everything! These are by far the best, most versatile pictures I've ever had. Three looks are truly three looks and appear as if they were shot on 3 different days! The shoot was so much fun and so comfortable that it was effortless on my part to get the good stuff! Michael even taught me about my face and my angles. No other photographer ever pointed these things out! This information is invaluable! Michael and Karin just really care! They took so much time with me both listening to my suggestions, my needs and also suggesting! I am very spoiled now! Best Headshot Experience Ever!!! 10/14/2010

So when I decided to get new headshots, I did a web search and came across Michael Roud Photography. The website had some of Michael's work and the photos look great! I was looking for someone to bring something a little extra to the "norm" headshot and Michael delivered. Shooting with Michael and Karin (who did amazing make-up and styling) was fantastic! They gave me great directon & tips to get the shots I wanted. I have so many great new shots now I feel great auditions are coming my way!! Thank you so much and I 100 recommend Michael for doing your next set of headshots. more

I don't think of myself as a photogenic person at all, and I get really awkward and weird about doing headshots. The mixture of Michael and Karin together are the makings of a dynamic duo. Karin makes you feel comfortable and confident in what you're doing and Michael tells you it how it is. He's honest and sincere about what he's doing. He makes sure to find out what you're looking for in the beginning and then hold you to it through out the shoot. He didn't let me just change my outfit and do the same thing in each picture, even though thats obviously what I felt the most comfortable doing. He got me out of my norm. He genuinely wants to give you what you came for, and he knows how to do it. From the beginning I felt like I could be honest about how I felt and what I wanted to do or get and Michael and Karin both held to it. If you're thinking about going to him, I'd definitely recommend him. He'll give you what you're looking for. more

Thorough and professional! 9/23/2010

Michael, Karen, and William were fantastic! They guided me through the whole process. This was my first experience with a professional headshot photographer so I was a bit nervous at first, but they were extremely helpful and thorough. I really appreciated the careful work and thought put into my session. I really look forward to working with them again! more

The whole experience was fabulous. Headshots are an actors introduction into the casting office. Michael Roud, and his makeup/hair artist, Karin Barragato, are a First Class experience.
