Where to begin? For years, I battled a chronic medical disorder-it frankly stole years from my life and left me with a face that I didn't recognize. After long internet searches and other plastic surgery consults, I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Law-the best decsion I've ever made! I'm very picky and this practice is light years beyond any other I consulted with. For me, a natural result was absolutely paramount--his website, staff and Dr. Law, himself, made it crystal clear that they would ONLY perform cosmetic procedures that looked natural-as if you had nothing done. \r \r First, I met with a higly educated Nurse Practioner-she really helped me narrow down what procedures I would benefit from having and helped me rule out a few that wouldn't have given me the result I was looking to gain. This initial consult allowed my first meeting with Dr. Law to be focused and not a discusion of ""potential"" procedures. \r \r As Dr. Law examined my face, I could tell that he was not missing a single detail. It felt as if his suggestions were tailored to MY face-not a regime of standard recommendations. Our discussions about the procedures were very detailed and accurate. He and I decided that structural facial fat grafting and a chin lift would be the two procedures that would give me optimal results. The surgical team was AMAZING, attentive, well humored and knowledgable. I went into surgery without a worry. \r \r The results of these two procedures are incredible! Dr. Law will NOT overfill your face, instead he uses a unique injection technique to use small amounts of fat-that are more likely to develop a blood supply and ""take."" He was clear about the grafting site and the bonus is a little less fat on my stomach. The chin lift is striking-yet, Dr. Law stopped at the point that would make my chin look stretched. I doubt, even a plastic surgeon would guess that I've had the facial fat grafting or the chin lift. \r \r For the first few weeks, I truly wanted to walk side-ways to show off my new chin lift/profile! When I went back to my life's routine-people were literally doing double, triple takes and completly unable to determine ""why"" I looked so ""rested."" They just kept saying…""You've done a total transformation, have you lost weight?"".. Me: Yes I did!! Even close friends who know I had these procedures, can't believe I had anything done--because ""it looks so natural."" I would compare my face to what I looked like 10-15 years ago. \r \r If I were looking at facial fat grafting anywhere in the country, there is no doubt-Dr. Law is the ONE to see. I wish I could show my pictures-but you might recognize me as the serisously happy, side-way walking, 30 something… ok fine 40 something (but you'll only know if you card me! SHHH!). more

Dr. Law worked a fat grafting miracle for me. He gave me back my face and along with it my confidence and my life.\r \r Five years ago I had a series of IPL treatments at a dermatology practice. Initially my skin seemd to improve, but after the third treatment I broke out in the worst acne I have ever had and gradualy the fat in my face began to melt away. I had that lean, drawn look in my face like I had been ill for years.\r \r I found Dr. Law online and he is without question THE doctor in the Southeast and maybe the country to see for facial fat grafting. He took lots of time with me, reviewed all of my records and photos, and was very up front about the fact that the correction of my problem would take more than one fat grafting session. I had a series of three fat grafting surgeries (yes, it is surgery, don't let anyone lead you to believe it's not) with Dr. Law and I still can't believe how it has transformed my face. There still is some mild acne scarring from the breakout after my third IPL treatment, but everything else is as good as or better than it was before. I get compliments about my appearance now. Before my fat grafting people wanted to know if I was tired or sick or both.\r \r I am a nurse and I have been around doctors and medical offices my entire working life. You won't find a more personable and caring doctor anywhere. more

Taking time to research a plastic surgeon was a very worthwhile investment. Dr. Law's training and education are far superior the training of any other surgeons in the region. Other medical professionals in the area agree he is the best of the best. Dr. Law has excellent communication, he really listens and understood exactly what my goals were for my neck and eye surgery. His approach very very different than other surgeons. I am so glad I selected the doctor with the best training, the best before and afters and patients who were happy to share their stories. \r I was treated like royalty before during and after surgery. I did pay more with Dr. law and I wish he accepted financing so I could have added another surgery. The results are worth every penny. The peace of mind of knowing I was in the best hands was a comfort to my husband. I am so happy and I am looking forward to a body procedure in the near future more

I had a horrible experience with Dr. Law during a fat grafting procedure, when he removed fat from an area where I had not agreed for him to take it from which left a horrible indentation and deformity of the area. The fat which he placed in the areas where I wanted more fullness should have been permanent, and didn't last over 6 months. I was extremely disappointed with how he lied when confronted with this. He claimed that we had discussed the donor area, and he never discussed it until the day of the procedure after he had given me a sedative (demerol) when I was completely incoherent ... This was extremely unprofessional and in my opinion criminal. He waited until the drugs took effect, and marked me during a time when I had no idea what was going on. It's very upsetting to think that a medical professional would do this.\r I would never recommend this doctor to anyone. The experience which I went through was very traumatic for me, and I did write the medical board about the entire incident. As one of the other patients had written about the lies Dr. Law had told, I can absolutely confirm that he lied to me as well. I would have never agreed to allow him to remove fat from the area in which he took it from, and I specifically told him that I loved the shape of my curves, and would never want to alter them (during our initial consultation).. Dr. Law gave me a chin implant and pinned by ears back (otoplasty) - and let me start by saying I am thrilled with my results. I went to three other surgeons, they all priced me lower than Dr. Law, but I didn't get the feeling I had with him. He's gentle and professional, and shows that he cares. He was upfront about what to expect, where others tried to sell me on different procedures. My surgery also included a revision, where the anesthesia was all I had to pay for. Dr. Law took my boyish looks and gave my face masculinity. His staff is professional and SUPER friendly. I""m not sure about some of the other comments here, but I've had a wonderful experience. They are extremely busy, which is reassuring when you think about it. I had to book months in advance, other doctors were willing to fit me in within a few weeks. It is true, they screen their patients carefully, as any plastic surgeon should. He is expensive, but worth every penny. In short, Dr. Law is professional, extremely friendly and genuine, his staff is wonderful, you may pay more, but in the end you'll be happier. more

I found Dr. Law's website and viewed before and after pics which were amazing! I scheduled my 1st appt because, you see his nurse first. She was very nice I must say just a lovely girl. The rest of the office staff however were not as nice. When the girl hung up on me when I called to make a second appt. I asked to speak with the office mgr ..\r She was even worse and said are patients dont choose us we choose them and we are plenty busy if you decide to go else where then I'm sure u will have good results w/ who ever! OMG! I can not believe this, I wish Dr. Law knew how bad people are being treated when calling or coming to his office ! Ihope to find a good Dr. soon w/ a nicer staff! more

Very rude staff ! Not children friendly ! Do not bring children or they will make them leave. They also will drop ur appt without notice and hang up . Be very cautious also of pre-op appt once u pay there jacked up prices good luck getting back in office! more

Though I had my fears, I finally was convinced by my friends to give botox a try. I asked my friend who is a nurse if the doctor she works for (I will leave the name out) offers botox. She said that he does but that she does not think he knows what he is doing so she will not let him do her botox even though she could get it from him for free! So, I realized it was important to find someone who knew what they were doing. After quite a bit of research I concluded that Blue Water Spa and their injector, Karin, was the largest provider in the Triangle area. ... and so I gave it a shot. Wow do I love my results!! I am only kicking myself that I didn't start this 10 years ago!!! Furthermore, my little sister is jealous that I look younger than her ""Where are your lines and wrinkles???"" But she does not need to know my little secret. ;) As for the business, they were friendly, clean and professional. In the consultation, the girl (I can't remember her name) really listened, putting my worries at ease and even answered questions I had about their other services and my skin concerns. I am not one to take good customer service for granted! more

This is the nicest place i have been to yet. i have several friends who have had surgery and they are really happy. I have been for botox and juvederm and have always loved my results. people always think i am in my twenties!! wrinkle free skin is always in fashion. I always have a pleasant experience and have found them accomodating whenever i have had an issue or concern. I would definitely recommend them if you are interested in botox and juvederm or surgery more

I had lost a lot of weight but no matter how much I lost I still had my big hips and thick ankles! I had been thinking about having some liposuction for some time but was nervous and not sure about having it done. When I went to Dr Michael Law I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't your typical sterile cold Dr. office. In fact when I walked in I was greeted and given a glass of water and sat near a beautiful water wall, with pleasant music and smells surrounding me. First I met with the surgical coordinator who took the time to answer my questions and show me many before and after photos of Dr. Laws work. The next step was meeting the Dr. himself. He was very cordial and listened to all I had to say. Then he explained to me what, and how he recommend to proceed with the liposuction. I did go ahead with the procedure and had great results! He made it look natural which was the most important thing to me! My family from out of town just thought I had lost a lot of weight and toned up (exactly what I wanted). A new and improved me. I highly recommend using Dr. Law if thinking about having a procedure! more

Dr. Law lied to my wife, his patient. He was later caught in this lie in an email. We were suspicious of other cases of less than honest communication but didn't get any other proof. Dr. Law is a coward, so he lies to avoid difficult conversations. He also proved to have weak integrity. \r \r The office is run by his wife Kile, who does not understand how to run a business. Kile moved my wife's appointment and did not give a reason, then canciled the appointment when my wife addressed her concern. This prevented the Post Operative visits that were supposed to be included. Kile was so disrespectful to my wife over a week of avoidance, torturous emails through the weekend, and not answering questions; my wife is sick over it. Kile Law burnt the bridge with Dr. Law before Post Ops were done on a very personal and serious procedure, leaving my wife abandoned.\r \r One office staff refused to write down post operative procedures. She told us the advice verbally. We were so shocked when she replied 'No' to our request to write down her advice, we didn't know what to say. We ended up just hoping we remembered everything.\r \r Ultimately, Doctor Laws office made some mistakes that were forgivable and some that were unforgivable, but never took responsibility for any of them.\r \r I've never seen this kind of insensitive and torturous communication in a healthcare environment. Honestly, I have never been treated with such disrespect by any business.\r \r They appear very professional on the surface until the character of the key staff are tested.\r \r Women especially should avoid this potentially tramatic experience. \r \r It can take years to recover from the painful experience of extreme disrespect and unfairness tied with a medical procedure you have to live with for the rest of your life. Do not subject yourself to that by choosing Doctor Law and his staff.\r \r I have never written a negative review online, but I believe this review will save patients and their families avoid serious heartache and inconvenience.\r \r Doctor Law is a typical Los Angeles sergion, do not expect Carolina hospitality, sincerity, or honesty when dealing with his wife/office manager or him.\r \r Ultimately, very bad people. I just hope they change someday, because their behavior is hurting a lot of people.\r \r Ask yourself, do I want to run any extra risk with a surgeon? If this review doesn't scare you away, I can't imagine what would. I wanted to like Dr. Law and his staff, but he and the office manager made me feel absolutley obligated to get the truth out about them. more

So, I just called to schedule my ""free consultation"" and was told that the 1st consult is with and assistant to be ""cleared"" for a consult with the good doctor, at which time you pay $100 to discuss what you want done and get a quote. You are not permitted after the 1st ""free"" consultation to just make a decision to go forward with a procedure, ie. Botox, you MUST see the doctor and pay the $100 consult fee first. What a shame, his concept and site looked really good. Reminds me of the old saying, ""there's no such thing as a free lunch"" more

I am a 36 year old mother of three and was looking to have plastic surgery since I am not planning on having anymore children. I searched for a plastic surgeon for years after giving birth to my last child, keeping various websites bookmarked in my computer, when I came across Dr. Michael Law's website. I liked his philosophy, education background and experience, so I made an appointment. I live on the west coast so in traveling to North Carolina I hoped that I would not feel disappointed. My friends even questioned why I would travel all the way to North Carolina when I live four hours from LA. I'm glad I made the trip! What I found was a very intelligent, kind, mild-mannered and conscientious doctor who cares about his patients, the best individual results possible and overall safety. Dr. Law really takes his time and gives you something to think about in terms of various alternatives. His work is tailored to you. I booked a surgery date soon after my initial consultation for a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. I returned to have my tummy tuck and I could not be more pleased with the results. I have my pre-pregnancy waistline (okay maybe a little better than the pre-pregnancy waist) back! Dr. Law may be slightly pricier than other doctors but his work speaks for itself and is well worth the price. Whenever I show anyone my results, they may say that they have found a cheaper doctor but they will not say that the work/results are as good. Additionally, I believe that certain qualities in a person are unquantifiable; integrity, honesty, compassion etc. Dr. Law has these qualities. I felt like I could trust him to do the best job. I had a benign breast lump which prevented me from having the breast augmentation that I wanted. Dr. Law expressed genuine concern about my condition and even gave me some insight into additional testing and procedures that I have the right to request. I plan to return to North Carolina for my breast augmentation when my doctors here give me the okay. I highly recommend him to people who are looking for a quality doctor and great results. He's a wonderful doctor and an even better person. more

I was ready for some changes but I didn't want to have obvious looking plastic surgery so I took a lot of time doing research. After much research and many consultations in several states I decided that Dr. Michael Law was the plastic surgeon for me. His education, training, and results are head and shoulders above any others in this region.\r \r After Dr. Law's consultation I knew he was the doctor for me. He identified issues that contributed to my aging look when we viewed photos of myself in my younger years. Some of the subtle enhancements, like fat grafting in my hollow temple area were part of the over overall effect that made me look so much fresher and younger.\r \r My surgery included eye enhancement surgery for upper and lower eyelids with fat grafting on my lower eyelids and cheeks and fat grafting to my temples and to nasal labial folds.. I had a suture suspension necklift, liposuction under my chin with fat grafting to my jawline to re-contour the neck and provide a nice transition from the jawline to the neck. He also shortened my earlobes that were stretched after years of wearing heavy earrings. \r \r Dr. Law and his staff were incredibly thorough, organized, kind both before and after surgery.He absolutely lived up to his reputation as the best plastic surgeon in the southeast. I felt completely prepared. I had all questions answered The recovery wasn't bad. \r \r My results are absolutely magnificent. I have people tell me regularly that I look like I'm in my 30's. The best part is I do not look like I've had surgery. I just look pretty amazing. I'm 50 now, my surgery was almost three years ago I think I look better at 50 than I did at 35. I told him he could use my photos so look at his office or on his website and look at his before and after photos. I highly recommend Dr. Michael Law for fat grafting and any facial surgery. more

I am very pleased with the results of my breast augmentation surgery performed by Dr. Law. When I attend formal events, go to the pool or even go to the gym I feel much more comfortable than before and I look very natural. Other plastic surgeons seemed to have before and after images that looked artificial. Dr. Law's phjotos looked beautiful. I spoke to several of his patients and they too were very pleased.\r His prices were higher than the other plastic surgeons I visited but this was absolutely worth the investment. he and his nurses are great and they seem to genuinely care. The care I received before, during and after surgery was phenomenal.\r He discussed particulars of my anatomy and how different incisions would work on by body. Together , and with my husband, we determined that an incision under the arm would be best. I afraid that my breasts would be too far apart with this approach but he assured me though explanation and examples of photos that this would not be the case. he was right. The placement is perfect and my scars after just 8 weeks are invisible.\r I was quite surprised at the recovery. He used a pain pump and the pain was very minimal. \r After checking on his training, his background, the state board and looking at his photos I knew he was the doctor for me. After meeting Dr. Law I was even more convinced that he was a very good person in addition to being a wonderful plastic surgeon. more

Everyone knows Dr. Law is the best plastic surgeon in the area. I was still amazed with the beautiful before and after photos his office sent after I sent an email. There were a lot of photos so I saw a lot of women like me, with almost no breasts to start with. So I called his office to schedule a consultation. I had some time off and I wanted by breast inplants right away. I said I needed my surgery in three weeks. The person who answered the phone was very nice and they said they would try to work with my schedule but he was completely booked and surgery within 3 weeks was not possible. I called 3 other offices in the area and all of them told me surgery in 2 weeks was no problem. \r \r I had my heart set on Dr. Law but I really wanted my breast implants for a trip with my husband's company. Instead of scheduling a consultation with Dr. Law I called another office back. I chose a doctor who removed moles from my mom and my mother in law they both like him. I was scheduled for a consultation the next day and surgery 8 days later. The office was nice before and after photos were good, but not great . In hindsight I realize that if a doctor has a schedule that is so flexible, it means no one else wants surgery with him. I also should not have picked a ""mole doctor"" as my plastic surgeon. And, I should have looked more closely at the before and after photos. I look at Dr. Law's before and after photos now and think why didn't I wait.\r \r It's 6 weeks after surgery. I am very unhappy. My impants are too big. They are 350 cc's which looks huge on my body. My breasts are way too far apart and look and feel hard. My husband is being nice but he is not happy with the result and having them so high and big and far apart. Right after surgery my Dr. said they would settle. They haven't chanaged a bit but now he says they look great If I could do it over again I would take more time and spend a little more money for the best and have Dr. Law do my surgery. Last summer I was considering liposuction for some additional pounds I had gained after a period of inactivity. I saw 3 surgeons in Raleigh; Michael Law being one of them. I guess I understand why you only see the nurse for the first appt. - but it is really irritating. Who has time these days to take off work, arrange babysitting, etc. just be be told I was a good candidate!? They could have done that over the phone. When I finally got to see the Doctor (at the 2nd appt) I spent most of the consultation with no clothes on being drawn all over. I found this uncomfortable, upsetting and unusual compared to the other consultations I have had. Then for the price. They refused to give it to me at the consultation (?) and instead I had to await their call. Their price was $3000 MORE than both other plastic surgeons I saw! Why?\r I have since had the surgery with another surgeon and am thrilled with the results (and my savings of $3000 :)\r Pros: Pretty office, nice staff Cons: very expensive and appointments could be much more efficient more

I did a lot of research to find the best plastic surgeon for me. I first looked at training, evaluated medical schools, where they received training and how the training programs are ranked. I asked my gynecologist, internist, my husband's general surgeon and every medical professional we know. Every single answer was always Dr. Michael Law. The medical professioanls in the Raleigh area have so much respect for him. Finally, I hosted a ""ladies night"" including delicious rum drinks. The attendees shared a lot of information when I brought up plastic surgery. To sum it up, Dr. Law's patients were the women who looked great but didn't look like people who had plastic surgery. They just look natural and beautiful. Othr women lokked beautiful too but some had some pretty awful storis about experiences with other plastic surgeons in the area. I learned to ask about lawsuits and complications. Other plastic surgeons have some scary stories.\r So, I decided to have a consultation with Dr. Law for my breast augmentation and chin liposuction. I loved all of his photos. His staff was amazing and when I met Dr. Law he REALLY LISTENED. I knew he understood what I wanted. I wanted to look totally natural. His photos are great but speaking to forner patients was very helpful. it really helped me. They all said they felt like their new breasts have been theirs all along. After 5 months I am happy to report the same experience. It is amazing to wear sundressesm srtapless dresses and workout clothing and feel comfortable and totally natural looking.\r My husband and I know how much better my breasts look than before surgery but friends others would never guess that I've had surgery, they just think I'm lucky to have perky breasts totally in proportion to my body and a beautiful jawline. I own a business in the area and wanted to refresh my look without looking ""done"". I also am in the service industry and make it a practice to only do business with businesses that focus on good customer service. I consulted with several plastic surgeons in Raleigh prior to selecting Dr. Law. I chose him because I felt he listened to me, understood what I wanted and showed me amazing photos of patients who had similar surgeries. I am so thrilled with my results that I hope he shows every one my after photos! I also am so impressed with his entire staff. Each time I have called everyone has been very informative and responsive. They are so concerned about me as a patient and person that it is refreshing. I feel that everyone who works in his office is concerned about my well -being and I could not ask for more. Dr. Law is a clearly gifted surgeon and has surrounded himself with staff who are also very skilled at their jobs and compassionate. I would recommend Dr. Law to anyone contemplating any sort of plastic surgery! Pros: Exceptional surgeon, great office staff Cons: none that I can think of!! After having children, I went to see Dr. Law for an abdominoplasty and liposuction. I was extremely impressed with Dr. Law and his staff, and most importantly, the procedure results far exceeded my wildest expectations. Two years later on the advice of a friend, I went to a different doctor for a breast lift and some liposuction - this doctor's quote was about 30% less expensive than Dr. Law's. The breast lift is great, but the lipo areas are all lumpy--I can't wear a bikini or really bare my arms now, and that doctor told me the lumpiness can't be fixed (I haven't even checked w/Dr. Law because it's embarrassing and I don't want to seem like a surgery hound). Liposuction is a skill and should only be done by those who are skilled - Dr. Law has the skill and the slightly higher price is definitely worth it. more
