This place is disgusting. Not clean and seats in the booths had holes in them. I used a living social coupon and living social you pull it up on the phone and the manager came over and started yelling. He he said he needs a print out. And he did not have an updated list of customers who bought a coupon. The manager accused me saying that would go home and print the coupon and it to friends. The place was not clean. DO NOT BUY A Living Social for this place. The people are not that nice and you would want to walk out of the place once you see how it looks. The food is not like Indian food I have before. The chicken vindaloo was red in color and was vindaloo because it was missing something in it. more

When my husband and I first moved to South Florida, this was the first Indian restaurant we tried in the area. The first few times, we felt that the food was good and the staff was friendly. After visiting a few more times, we found that the food became hit-or-miss and the last time, our server was somewhat strange - overly friendly. We're now searching for our new Indian "go-to" restaurant, because we will not go back to Miami Tandoor. more

THE BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT I became a fan of Indiand food since I lived in Asia 10 years ago. I've tried many restaurants in different parts of the US and I can say that this is the best restaurant food wise. The food is made from scratch so if you are in a hurry I suggest you order before you arrive. The ambience is modest but the food and friendly service is worth the visit. more

I am an indian who is has been here for over 12 yrs and been to many indian resurants. This restuarant is really bad, bad food, overpriced and s***tty service. There are much better indian restaurants in Miami more

I thought this place was the worst indian restaurant I have been to .Seedy place with cheap decor and a man(who is probably the owner) trying to rip you off. I ordered take out and when i went to pick it up 45 min later, he asked me to wait another 15 minutes because he wanted me to pay first. he then makes excuses that the tandoor is slow and he was busy(there was only 1 table with people). Either way avoid this place more

iam a born indian (mumbai) raised in karachi pakistan, i went there after reading all these reviews which say soo many good things about miami tandoor, now i think i should have paid attention to VOTES and not reviews as reviews can be bogus, \r food was not so great and service wasnt there to begin with, prices are way tooo high and wait time is so long even thou resturant was empty. Plus i hope they can be little honest with charging us. more

Iam a true indian, born and rasied in india. This place is not authentic and very expensive with no service.\r they sell goat as lamb and rice is not even true basmati.\r avoid at all cost.\r EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK AS THEY HAVE 101 HEALTH VIOLATIONS. more

i went to miami tandoor after reading rviews, it was a very bad experience, iam originally from indian family and born in pakistan, so i pretty much know what an authentic indian food is.\r let start by their lamb karahi, it was horrible full of soggy tomatoes, over stuffed ginger , meat was stinky, strong smell of dirty goat. and meat was stall and full of oil, made me puke.\r naan were stale and old, rice full of clove and cummin seeds.\r lassi was horrible, milk was spoiled. the bathrooms are another story, small dark room wrere i dont suggest any laddies go without an escort and guard., service ??? what service ??? oh yeah we noticed 20 percent tip added to our bill and when we asked them about it they stated that people dont leave , so they started adding it.. my suggestion to them start serving good fresh food and fix the resturant bathrooms and fix service , they will see people leaving tips. anyways i didnt wanted to pay tip but the young guy got too rude and offensive, so i just left the place with my wife and kidz, as family was scared.\r horrible place and DONT GO THERE !!!!\r iam pretty sure positive reviews are posted by themselves. more

It's weird to me that the votes are negative, but the reviews are more positive. I honestly only went once maybe 5 years ago. It was the only Indian place open that late at night. We went at almost 10 and the owner (I think) was really nice, sat us down, answered all our questions (since we hadn't had a lot of Indian food we weren't sure what we wanted), and was very attentive. They food was great and we were the only ones in the restaurant (I think they would have normally been closed, but the guy told us to come in so we did!) I think his wife (?) was a little irritated that he let us in because I thought I heard her say something about him telling us to come in after closing time, but my hubby and I had a great dinner and really enjoyed it and the attention from the guy serving us. more

we went there arround 8pm and they looked dead. i went to use the bathroon and the door wouldnt lock, so i asked my husband stand outside and watch/guard. Bathrooms is a small filthy hole all the way in the back and with no lightning, i knew at that time that experience was gonna be horrible, but still wanted to give them a chance to prove me wrong. \r we ordered samosas as apptizers which were very oil and seemed that they were refreid. we didnt eat and returned them back. my husband is a rice lover so he ordered biryani and i liked lamb so i ordered karahi ghost.\r biryani rice was full of clove and very hard. seems that rice was few days old and cheap quality.\r karahi ghost was full of oil. there were no tomatoes i guess tomatoes are expensive these days and they skipped.\r one thing that bothered me the most is when i asked for onions with biryani they charged us 2 dollars extra stating onion is very expensive nowadays and they even charged us extra for rita sauce. first of all their food is very expensive, second its of low quality and finally service sucks after finishing our food they gave us our drinks.\r it was a VERY BAD experience for us and we will NEVER go there again. more

We have once again enjoyed an amazing dinner at Miami Tandoor. As a vegetarian, I have plenty of options, and while I am sensitive to spicy foods, my "mild" orders had incredible flavor without being too spicy for me. My dinner companion, a true carnivore, always enjoys the many meat selections, but really liked the Tandoori Mixed Grill on this last visit for a little taste of everything. Our favorite Naan is the Garlic Naan, but we've enjoyed all we tried. I'm not a tea drinker, but our waiter suggested the Persian Tea Pot on a previous visit, which I now get every time I go. This tea has a wonderful floral aroma and delicate, sweet taste I enjoy. Although we did not have room for dessert this time, we love the ice cream offerings; you can truly taste the almond and pistachio in each bite.\r \r I have been to many of the Indian-style restaurants in the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale area, but this is truly our favorite! A great value for the excellent food and fun environment. more

Food was excellent. The bogus reviews that are on here are far from true. Anyway the food was amazing, medium spice dark meat butter chicken was excellent. Aloo naan was spectacular, defintely order that. We ended our meal with rasmalai, a sweet cheese in milk dessert which was very different and delicious. I'm not really into sweet desserts but my accompaniment enjoy it much. Lastly the entire meal was with a Persian tea which accented the meal perfectly. more

Best indian restaruant i've had in florida 3/10/2010

Although I was hesitant at first due to the location, I found the food at this restaurant to be delicious. I have been craving good Indian cooking since I've been in South Florida for the past six months. All of the other Indian Restaurants I've tried have not had cooking this good, were overpriced, or lacked quality service. \r The staff was polite & made very cost effective recommendations.\r I'm glad I took a chance. Now I'll be returning more often. more

This is the only best Resturant i have ever eaten.\r Nice and freshly made on the premises.\r I recommend 110%\r \r Owner is very freindly and courtious. more

Very Very Bad Experience 3/8/2009

My mom and I were visiting the area and decided to go to this pakistani restaurant for dinner. First of all the owner needs to get some better customer services skills. I guess he thought we were latin or something because he was talking to us like this was our first time eating indian or pakistani food. Everything my mom tried to order off the menu, he would argue with her and tell her ""oh no, thats not for you"" or ""well you can get that, but you're not going to like it."" Eventually she picked something HE approved of. After everything and the bad service and being so rude, this guy had the nerve to OVERCHARGE me! I will definitely never go back there again. Cons: bad service, rude owner more

Owners are terrible and arrogant people. 4/16/2007

This is not an Indian restaurant and they are vey biased about other desi restaurants. I had very bitter experince with the owners. They serve food from refrigirater and microwave it. This restaurant is like any other desi restaurant not worth it. Stale food is served. Do not get fooled by the sweet words the restuarant ownsers tell you, they need customers. Please do not go and get your stomach spolied with stale food. Cons: Stale food and Pricey more

Excellent Food and Great Service 5/6/2004

Definitely one of the best Indian/Pakistani restaurants in S. Florida. The food is excellent - it is always made fresh (which is why it takes 20-30 minutes to get your food after you order it) and the portions are large. The owners and staff are warm and friendly; the restaurant clean and well-kept. All their dishes are great - my favorites are their chicken tikka masala and paalak paneer; their Nans are the best I've had in the US. If you're visiting S. Florida this restaurant is a must! Pros: excellent food, great service more
