Editorial review from Citysearch 7/31/2012

First off, a business that has been successful for 17 years has to be doing something right. Everyone writhing a bad review about this place is crazy! I love the food and the staff is extremely friendly. Truly great mexican food for a low price. I will continue to come to Mi Cocina as long as I continue to live in Colorado. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/31/2012

i cannot belive the comments im reading about this place right now. i have been comming here for a long time now, and everytime its a new good experience, i love their chiles rellenos and fajitas: and now that im 21 i love drinking their margaritas, they are the best. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 7/31/2012

Don't let a few bad reviews almost a year old discourage you from trying this restaurant. I have been coming to this resataurant for almost 10 years. I have had no issue with the staff, manager, or food. I love the food and believe it is one of the best mexican restaurants in the Littleton area. It is a must try if you are in the area. more

Lateral to/from Taco Bell 10/14/2011

Don't let the ""4 star"" reviews get you there. You will be disappointed. Fast & cheap - just like taco bell and no better. more

Worst Food Ever!!! Don't do it! 8/19/2011

This place is a friggin dive! In a bad way. Worst food ever! Stuffed Sopapilla: It is not a friggin sopapilla! It is a store bought tortilla from a bag and deep fried. Disgusting! Carnitas. Terrible and dry. Beef Enchiladas: Ground beef with tomato sauce and lots of black pepper. Don't waste your time and money. The staff could care less if the food they dish up is crap. more

Breakfast to Dinner 11/9/2010

I absolutely love their $2.00 breakfast burritos. I always try to stop in if I am in the area to scarf down on their amazing tortilla hugged delights. Their dinner combination plates are quite good as well. My girlfriend had the Chili Rellano Plate and I had the Tamale plate smothered in green chili. Both of us joined the ""Clean-Plate-Club"" as it was so good. I really enjoyed the sopapillas. Fluffy, large and sweet with honey and butter. The best way to finish off a Mexican dinner. The atmosphere is not high class, so hoodies and t-shirt attire is perfect. My girlfriend and I usually stop here after putt putting at Colorado Journey Miniature Golf Course. A local favorite for sure. I am really excited to go back after just purchasing a coupon from SoBiz10 dot com- yeah! more

Diner Beware 4/5/2010

After recently moving to this area, my fiance stopped by Mi Cocina one evening on the way home from work and picked up a menu. That night was advertised as ""Fajita"" night, where a fajita entree was on special, if you got an entree you could get a $3 margarita. So- we decided it would be great to check it out that very same evening.\r \r - there were 3 of us in the party. We ordered 2 fajita entrees (they are big) and margarita's, to take advantage of the specials. Our waitress also told us that we'd save an additional 10% if we paid in cash.\r \r - We received our food, which was actually pretty good. However, they would only give us two plates for two entrees, so two of us had to share our plate/meal. OK.\r \r - When we finally got the bill, we did not receive any of the ""special"" prices. The waitress (who was the same girl who gave my fiance the menu earlier that afternoon) said that the specials had ended two weeks prior to our visit. She never informed him of the changes, or us of that change even after she heard us talking of the specials. Strike One.\r \r - The margarita's, which were supposed to be discounted to $3 if you ordered entrees, were full price because that ""special"" too had become invalid, even though it was clearly written all over the menu. Strike Two.\r \r - We paid in cash- and I'm sure you'll be surprised with this- there isn't a 10% discount if you pay in cash. Strike Three.\r \r So- when we questioned it, our waitress got irate and yelled that ""this isn't on me, it's on my manager""... So- three strike's, Mi Cocina is out. The food was ok, but the service and pricing issues were so horrible I will never eat there again and I would never recommend anyone to have the same experience that I did. Pros: Decent Food Cons: ""specials"", pricing, customer service more

Best Mexican Food In Denver 12/31/2009

I am a vegetarian and it is nearly impossible to find good mexican food resturaunts that serve refried beans made without lard and spanish rice made without chicken broth...Mi Cocina does both of these things and the end result is the best tasting refried beans and rice in Denver! If you are looking for great ambiance Mi Cocina is probably not the place for you but if you are looking for great tasting, affordable Mexican food there is simply no better place to eat in Denver than Mi Cocina. Try the chili rellano plate - you won't regret it. Pros: vegetarian refried beans & rice Cons: no horchata more

Loved it! 6/5/2009

My co-workers and I have been here for lunch and all of us agree this is the #1 spot for Mexican food in Littleton. We loved the fresh chips and salsa! more

Mmm Delicioso 6/4/2009

If you crave ""Mexican Food"" you definetely need to visit ""Mi Cocina."" Chiles rellenos are to die for and the service is outstanding. My friends and I loved it! Pros: Great service and affordable prices more

Do NOT do delivery 3/10/2009

We tried this restaurant for the first time with their delivery service. What a nightmare! We live less than 2 miles away and you only need to make 2 turns, yet they were completely lost. My husband had to go outside to wave them down. Also, the order was wrong and ice cold. Very substandard. I'm not sure why this is considered one of the best. Obviously people who think the food is great here don't get out very often. Pros: Convenient delivery other than pizza or chinese. Cons: Slow service, cold food. more

MARGARITAS ARE BACK!!!!!! 11/15/2008

I have always been a fan of Mi Cocina but stoped coming in as much because they stopped serving alcohol but to my surprise ITS BACK!! its kinda hard to have mexican food without a strong margarita or a corona for me at least, anything you eat here is good very good, the chips are always hot and the salsa is the best around, I always have the chicken fajitas or the stuffed sopapilla its really good, there prices have gone up but its still worth it. I do have to say its not a very big place and it does get loud when they are busy and this place was a service station when i was growing up or a grease monkey something like that so dont expect a big chain style restaurant its a hole in the wall so keep and open mind and the food will make u come back. Pros: margaitas are big and strong Cons: small place more

Try the chile rellenos and margaritas. 11/13/2008

I never write reviews but my son made me do it.\r \r You have to try the crispy chile rellenos smothered with green chile, this is not a fancy place its just a good place to have a great meal at a good price, the portions are very big with lots of green chile that is very good but not spicy hot,the staff is very nice and the food is at your table quickly.Mi Cocina is one of my favorite restaurants. \r \r Pros: great margaritas, food Cons: parking lot too small more

Mexican food delivers? 10/25/2008

Worth every penny!!! They have the freshest chips and great margaritas. They even deliver! I like the chile rellenos and fajitas the most. Pros: Quick Cons: uh I ll let you know more

Great spot for a quality meal without the chain feel. Dinner is less busy than lunch. 10/14/2008

I like this place because it's a local spot that treats people well. I love the chicken taco plate, always good portions and served fresh. Seems like I always find something new I want to try. I really like that they are going green with solar panels and recyclable supplies.\r \r Stop by and try it yourself, you will not be disappointed. Pros: Quick Service, Friendly Staff, Great Food Cons: Closed Sunday, gets busy around lunch more

great food, good margaritas and beer, best faitas around! 10/10/2008

We love going to Mi Cocina! The food is always great! I love the chips and salsa, the faitas, the guac, the tamales, the relenos and don't forget the sopapillas! MiCocina has good margaritas and beers for a great price, I think. We just saw the new soloar panals on the patio! I thinks that is so unique! No very many restaurants are thinking about renewable energy!\r I like Mi Cocina because it has quick service and great food with good prices. \r The gentleman at the front always greets us with a smile.\r I would definitely recommend MiCocina to a friend. more

Wonderful food and quick service - They even deliver! 10/9/2008

I really love thier steak fajitas! The food is always excelent and served very quickly, so you can get in and out if time is a factor. The patio is also nice, I saw the solar roof they installed recently but have yet to have a meal under it. The reason I keep coming back is the great service and consistent food. I also like that it's not a chain restaurant, it is family owned and operated and you can tell when you walk in. I'm glad to live near this Littleton gem. Pros: Food, Service, Family Owned, Going Green! Cons: Small lot, not open Sundays more

Love the patio and the chicken fajitas! 10/6/2008

Mi Cocina has consistently been one of my family's favorite places to dine. We love the chips and salsa with a side of guacamole followed by the sizzling chicken fajitas. Portions are the right size and the food comes out quickly. We enjoy the newly added solar patio as well---what a better way to enjoy a beautiful Colorado day then on the patio with great food? more

Best Mexican Restaurant in the Denver area. 10/2/2008

Very pleasant place. Great staff. Service starts with the best warm chips and salsa anywhere. We have tried everything on the menu and it is all 5 STAR. The best Mexican Restaurant in the Denver metro area in our opinion. And now they are the First Mexican Restaurant in the United States with Solar Power!! We love it. Pros: Great food, great service more

Well all i can say is i like it 2/1/2007

Hi, I have eaten here through out the past few years. I personally enjoy IT. Ok so it's not all fancied up or its not all happy family jump for joy place. I think the staff is nice. I think that the food is swell. Its mexican food! How can you expect it not to be greasy? A nice variety of entrees. Also i love the chips and salsa. Its always hard to find a good mexican resturant. One that has good food. Not that fake mexican stuff. Well this is one of the few i have found. It is a very calm relaxing resturant. Nice quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, great food, and they deliver! What more can you ask for? Trust me I liked it A LOT! Enjoy! more
