We hate chain restaurants and felt Gringada was a fabulous find. Of course, at first we were not sure if it was even still in business. Never any cars and very dark. We gave it a shot and LOVED it. The waitress / bartender was generous and the food was great. Recently, however, it seems to be sliding downhill. Our favorite waitress isn't around and the quality of food is slipping. We'll give it one more shot before it falls on to the boycott list... more

Hole in the wall 4/15/2006

You either love it or hate it. It's definitely a dive, but I've always liked the food. I've brought other people here, though, and they've hated it. It's dingy and dank, and family-run. Prices are cheap, cheap, cheap. Drink prices are also cheap. Love their queso. Still, it's been there for years (and it shows). Try it sometime, and post your thoughts. more
